Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. We are selling this toy ONLY because we have to. Needs to gone ASAP. The price of $3,900 is good for only two weeks. Price goes up after that..may not need to sell it. Serious callers only, please. “I’m helping my grandpa sell his Vintage Army Jeep. It’s in superb condition for its age, still runs like a champ, and 4×4 works great! 1951 M38 Willys US Army Jeep. It has low miles on the original engine, because it was used by a Commanding General, HQ1. It has a 2.2L four cylinder engine, manual locking hubs, 3 speed manual transmission, and a 2 speed transfer case. The vehicle only has 59,xxx original miles on it! 45,473 M38’s were built from 1950-1952, who knows how many are still drivable. Serious inquires only. This hasn’t been a beater hunting rig. It has been well taken care of. It’s a Classic! If you want to own and drive away with a piece of American History give me a call.”

“1951 Willys Military Model 38. This jeep is in excellent condition with no rust on the body. The transmission is tight-shifting and will not pop out of second gear. The five tires are in great condition and has a hard top and doors. A tow bar and bows for a soft top are included.”

(08/28/2013) It needs some parking lights in the front, but otherwise looks good.
“So here we have a very nicely built Jeep that I’m selling for a friend. First of all I would like to say the owner of this Willys took great pride in building it over the past 25 years and it shows!! Ok so Ill tell you as much as I can remember about it. Motor is a 302ci Ford (there you go Ford fans) with I think he said 25k on it. the trans is a automatic (cant remember what kind) but it is adapted with a advanced adapter plate and has a 30 split lever transfer case. the differentials are Dana 30’s but he has a 44 or 2 to go with it for the right price!! It is sitting on 35’s that look fairly new. He has extra parts to go with this also if the price is right !!”
