About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“I am selling my 1952 Willys M38Jeep. It runs great and the body is in good shape. It has the original flat head 4 motor. This is a wonderful jeep with only 20k. Driving this jeep takes you back to the good ol’days.”
“We used the original frame and running gear and a new reproduction body. This vehicle has a 24 volt electrical system powered by modern alternator and new replacement carburetor on rebuilt engine. The transmission/transfer case has been rebuilt. It has all new brakes, brake lines, wheel bearings and brand new canvas seat cushions. Everything has been rebuilt on this vehicle. Top bows and fittings are included but there is no canvas for the top. This jeep has a PA title.
More pictures available upon request.
Buyer must pick up here or arrange for delivery. All shipping charges are the buyer’s responsibility. I assume no reponsibility for damages incurred after the jeep leaves my location.”
This hasn’t been started in a while, but looks like it is a good use-as-is or restoration project.
“1952 Willys M38 Jeep.
I bought this as a future project over 12 years ago and while the future is here, I have not started the project.
I bought the jeep from Montana and since I have had it it has always been stored indoors. Due to the hard top, it is in great condition as far as rust goes.
I have started and driven the jeep so know the mechanical work but have not started it in probably 2 years.
GOOD
Clear MN title (I am from MN originally)
Remarkably rust free for the age
Mechanically sound
Not so good
Much of the M38 specific equipment is missing
There are some dents and dings from 60 years of use
Due to the age and probably lack of use, it tends to mark it’s territory.
Don’t know if this is good, not so good or just interesting but looks like this was an arctic jeep. I can’t say exactly what that entails but there is some additional heating components inside that are “interesting” I think it is a somewhat unusual military modification for the cold. Explains the hard top as well.”
“Older restoration. Body was taken down to bare metal, primed and repainted in 2012. There is absolutely NO rust-through anywhere. Hat channels, floor pans, etc are all solid. Winter top with side curtains and doors. M31 machine gun mount, rifle mount, axe, shovel, gerry can, spare, radio antennae and mount. Winch w/PTO. All proper straps and military items. Converted to 12 volt. Tires are weather checked but serviceable. Good oil pressure, clutch and brakes. Also a few manuals and spare parts included.
NEW:
4 shocks, waterpump, fuel tank, body mounts, fender and body welting, lock-out hubs, shackles and rebuilt rear springs and vacuum wiper motors. Also included is a custom all weather cover made of Military grade rip stop from Beachwood Canvas.”
“I have a real nice jeep I’ve been using on my deer lease
This model is a flat fender CJ3A 4 wheel drive
12 volt alternator with locking front hubs
Bed liner sprayed to prevent rust
I have 2500 in it and it has never let me down”
