Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/30/2013) This is a M-38 body on a 1946 CJ-2A frame and possibly drive train.
“Original 4 cylinder engine, runs well. M-38 Military body, Midnight blue 1950s model (not 1940s), no rust, garage-kept. New large tires, new rims. Tow bar and hitch with additional frame support for towing. Full canvas cover, seats in good condition with rear bench seat. New brakes and battery. Four wheel drive. No locking hubs or roll bar. The seller listed the price at $20,000, but the seller mentions potential buyers shouldn’t bid unless serious about buying. So, I guess he is taking bids?
