Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a 1952 Willy Jeep 4×4. It runs and has an 8000 lb warn wench on the front and a 4″lift and 35″tires with new rims. It also has a new gas tank and battery and new brakes put in by Big O tires. The lift, brakes and gas tank were all worked on by Big O tires and I have the receipts. 602-549-0844.”

“1951 Willys Military Jeep, Garage Kept, runs well, spare tire, spare gas tank, I am selling this for a friend and don’t know much of the details, but feel free to ask and I will find out.”
This might be a pretty good price. The motor runs and everything looks cleaned up. Just need a body, wiring and above frame parts.
“This is a 1950 Military M38 jeep chassis with title. Price includes grill, radiator, running RMC motor, transmission, transfer case, third members, wheels tires etc. Needs the tub, fenders, hood and the miscellaneous stuff to make it original (see below). ALSO available thru another seller (a friend) another M38 with tub. Good fenders and running gear, good windshield, tail gate, grill and radiator. No seats, no dash (I have one). Tub needs work, hood was cut to make room for the carb of the 283 motor (does not run), includes roll bar, expensive tires and rims and some extras. Asking $500 (see last pix). Combine the two and make a great military jeep then sell off the extra parts ($100 for the pair). Parts to complete a restoration are avail thru vendors advertising in The Supply Line mag of the MVPA. Buy both and I can deliver them in one load if you cover the fuel and its not too far from the Seattle area. I also have a 10KW generator on Craigs List that is powered by a WWII Willys motor $500. The bumper doesn’t look stock. For the price, it’s a bit rough.

“LOWERED THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This 1951 M38 Jeep, is rare and in GREAT shape, (NO RUST, or Major body damage). $3,000.00 OBO- I have had it for several years stored in my shop, the only changes I have made to it are: new paint, different seats, air tank adaptor at rear bumper). I do have the head lights, a tow bar, rifle mount for the dash, CLEAR title, and a manual from the military dated for Jeep years 1950-55. The windshield does have a crack on the lower passenger side. I like a lot of things about this jeep, but I don’t get the bumpers — those are bumpers, aren’t they? As far as I know, M-38s were stopped in ’52.
“1953 Jeep Willys M-38, Buick V6 “Dauntless” Engine, Warn Overdrive Trans, external mounted power steering box!, 4-wheel drum brakes, rebuilt 4-barrell Holley Carb, aluminum race headers, new high performance cam and lifters, aluminum radiator, MSD Ignition!, K&N air filter, chrome thru-out interior and undercarriage and engine compartment, cloth/vinyl seats, Goodyear Wranlger CSA (very nice and expensive), brand new skyjacker (red) shocks, powdercoated frame, rear under floortub foam fuel cell, race seatbelts, emergency brake, 3 speeds with high and low and a 4×4 high and low, custom guages, hidden kill switch, key ignition, military fog lights, FULLY LINEX-D CUSTOM ROLLCAGE AND TUB BOLTED TO FRAME”
It appears this is either a M-38 body or a replacement body. For $300 it looks like it has a variety of parts, including an almost full cage.

“1952 Willys Jeep M-38 Buick 231, HEI Ignition, New flowkooler Water pump, GM 14 amp alternator, TH400 auto & Dana 20 out of Wagoneer, Centered Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front Full rollcage and harnesses. Rollcage is now painted olive drab along with back tube bumper and star on hood. Also now has 31×10.5 tires on black spoke wheels.”
