This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s not WWII, but it appears in very good shape. It’s listed as a ’49, but is at least 1950.
“A military icon of the 19th century, this W.W. II Style jeep manufactured by Willy’s is rare and sought after by collectors and rein-actors alike. Runs good, 5 new tires, M.P. police lights work, starter is weak.”

(01/28/2012) This needs some work and a few parts.
“1951 M38 military Jeep. Was running and driving up until this winter, I decided to start restoring it and it kinda got put on the back burner. All it will need to run and drive is a new wiring harness and seat frames. It has no rust and will be a relatively cheap restoration. It has been stored indoors and is in very good shape for the age. I have all the original parts and vin/military plaques. Only original parts missing are seat frames and correct steering wheel. I just need to make room in the garage, so it has to go.”

This is a mix of M-38/CJ-2A and other parts.
“1948 Willy’s CJ2A Jeep. Has a 1971 Buick 231 V6 with Hedman headers. Manual and electric fuel pump. 2 fuel cells, orignal cell under the seat and a rear 12 Gal cell. Rebuilt steering box, Warn hubs and 31 spline axles a full roll cage. Has a 3 speed transmission with overdrive. Spare tire rack, front tow bar. has an all original steel body, with herculiner bed coating on the interior. Please cal for further info. Thanks 720-999-6102”

This runs, but needs a battery.
“1952 willys m38 has original cab closure hard top . this jeep has original mc motor that runs. Many original parts good restoration project have clear missouri title. I have a battery to start and load this jeep it does not go with the jeep as it is for another project.”

(09/23/2011) The seller says the transmission is stuck in neutral, but then says “No Joy Rides”. It seems the first would preclude the second.
“This is a 1951 M-38 jeep/willys. It is military issued and has all original parts. Motor runs, has small oil leak. trans will not take gear. stuck in neutral. has new fuel filter, fuel line, fuel pump, new plugs, waterproof push button start to name a few minor things i have done.
