Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a 1952 USMC M38 Willy’s Jeep. I got this jeep about 1 year ago. I love driving it I have put some work in to it and was trying to FULLY restore it. I can no longer work on it due to my vision. She runs like a dream and she always makes heads turn.
Only things needed to be done to it is break stems need to be replaced, bleeding the brakes and minor carburetor work. I will throw in all the parts I have bought for it.”
For $250, the tub looks pretty good.

Alright football fans. Mark spotted this unusual jeep. A Texas Christian University fan of some type painted this flattie. The paint appears to be in decent shape still.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
This appears to be a disassembled M-38. The price is a bit high given it’s incomplete.
“1940’s Willys Jeep body in excellent condition. Comes with frame for canvas, windshield with frame, front fenders, 4 military tires on rims pumped up. $2500.00 OBO”
The price is a bit high on this project. However, what interests me is that this appears to be a M-38 body, with the exception of a battery box. And, this doesn’t appear to be a replacement body to me.

Looks solid and complete.
“1951 Willys Military Jeep for sale with original motor and very little rust. Serial number 37034, date delivered 10-51. Needs total restoration, will make a good restoration project! Owner is deploying soon and will sell for best offer.”

This doesn’t not run. The seller suggests the body is solid.
“Willy Jeep for sale. Not running right now. In pretty good shape for the Model year. No title. Limited rust on the body and floor boards are good. Has a In-line 4 cylinder. Was given to me and has been in the barn for six years. Had it running a couple of years ago. Asking $1,500 for it. See pic’s and give me a call. This jeep needs to go.”
