This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I had 3 ‘what was someone thinking’ moments while looking this jeep over. Moment 1, what’s with the diamond plating under the bumper? Moment 2, did someone paint the data plates on the dash? Moment 3, what’s going on with the metal tubing that goes up from one step, around the windshield, and down to the other step?
This might be a pretty good price.
“This is a 1952 Willy Jeep 4×4. It runs and has an 8000 lb warn wench on the front and a 4″lift and 35″tires with new rims. It also has a new gas tank and battery and new brakes put in by Big O tires. The lift, brakes and gas tank were all worked on by Big O tires and I have the receipts. 602-549-0844.”

” … You are looking at a complete frame off restoration… The jeep was gone through from one end to the other… The Jeep starts, runs, drives and stops just like when it was brand new in 1952…The Jeep is vey sharp and nothing missed or overlooked…The Jeep has correct gas can, shovel, ax/pick , pintel hitch, it is a hoot to drive around on a hot summer day… You get everyone grinning ear to ear,,waving ,saluting, thumbs up etc… This is SUPPORTNG AMERICA all right !!!! (joke) The Jeep also has NEW paint and body, interior, fresh-ebed engine, brake, trans, clutch, drive line, brgs many rects, also new pintel hitch, tires, markings, correct 2-way radio antenna, tarp roof, correct USA pins, many more items I have missed… Email for your pics and more info…

This might be a pretty good price. The motor runs and everything looks cleaned up. Just need a body, wiring and above frame parts.
“This is a 1950 Military M38 jeep chassis with title. Price includes grill, radiator, running RMC motor, transmission, transfer case, third members, wheels tires etc. Needs the tub, fenders, hood and the miscellaneous stuff to make it original (see below). ALSO available thru another seller (a friend) another M38 with tub. Good fenders and running gear, good windshield, tail gate, grill and radiator. No seats, no dash (I have one). Tub needs work, hood was cut to make room for the carb of the 283 motor (does not run), includes roll bar, expensive tires and rims and some extras. Asking $500 (see last pix). Combine the two and make a great military jeep then sell off the extra parts ($100 for the pair). Parts to complete a restoration are avail thru vendors advertising in The Supply Line mag of the MVPA. Buy both and I can deliver them in one load if you cover the fuel and its not too far from the Seattle area. I also have a 10KW generator on Craigs List that is powered by a WWII Willys motor $500. The bumper doesn’t look stock. For the price, it’s a bit rough.

Note that the rollcage connects to the windshield rather than the floor of the body. That said,

I do have the head lights, a tow bar, rifle mount for the dash, CLEAR title, and a manual from the military dated for Jeep years 1950-55. The windshield does have a crack on the lower passenger side.
