This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 Willys Jeep M-38 Buick 231, HEI Ignition, New flowkooler Water pump, GM 14 amp alternator, TH400 auto & Dana 20 out of Wagoneer, Centered Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front Full rollcage and harnesses. Rollcage is now painted olive drab along with back tube bumper and star on hood. Also now has 31×10.5 tires on black spoke wheels.”
Are those some kind of blackout headlights? I haven’t seen those before. There’s a few minor things to quibble with, but it sure looks great. I really have to start building that eWillys travel budget!

The pictures show the jeep is all together, but from the seller’s comments I think it is still apart?
“I have a 52 Willys Jeep Started restoration but never finished. It has a Ford V 6, Holly two Barrel, Hooker Headers, MSD ignition,new bucket seats, after market dash, Just to much to list. Come take a look you will be astounded on how great it looks for a 52 A light rust spot on the right rear corner panel. Had it the last 20 years never Sat out side always in my garage. This jeep looks like it rides a little high. Either it’s got re-arched springs or tall shackles.

“I have for sale a 1953 m-38 willys jeep. Original engine runs good. Body in good shape for a jeep of this era. Sorry not interested in any trades.”

The seller lists two different prices for this M-38. Strangely, the dashboard looks like a M-38, but there are no passenger side cutouts and no battery cowl lid.
“1952 Willis Jeep. Runs good and has a sound body. All gears are good. Enclosure included (soft top and sides). Removable back seat, gun rack, and tow bar. The vinyl seats are cracked, as is the windshield. This Jeep was restored before I bought it and has locking hubs and wide tires. (I have two of the original tires and rims.) I have owned it for 10+ years and used it for hunting, playing, etc. It is kept in a shelter. Due to infrequent use, I am willing to part with it. $5000 Cash OBO”

It’s a nice looking jeep. Note that it has a M-38 body, so maybe this is a M-38 or maybe it’s just a M-38 on a CJ-3A drive train.

This might be a pretty good price. Only one pic, but I don’t see any serious issues.

This seems like a good price on a running M-38.
“Original L head, runs. It’s going to sit and rot with me so am selling. It’s in Grand Junction so easy to see. Yes title is good and in my name. Great Flatfender, military Korea timeframe with dana 44 rear T18 and T90. Trade for restoration work on my 1972 F-250 highboy, needs new wooden bed and various dent’s rust spots. May trade for trailer, or Jeep TJ parts, Dana 44’s, winches, bumpers”
