  • I have a complete 1946/1947 cj2a jeep not running…..the drive train is excellent working and movable..(engine has stuck valve in guide).. …..good title…….
  • Have a 1951 m38 jeep military with arctic aluminum military ordinance cab……..
  • I have some other parts for these jeeps….
  • extra complete rolling chassis(with good title….bought with no tub) with springs front and rear axles….
  • engine/trans/transfer case assembly’s and a project cj2a i started that has the chassis and new springs and bearings….. been sand blasted and military olive drab paint…… no pics though…
  • have buick 225 dauntless jeep engine and trans with transfer case…
  • also carbureted 231 buick engine with low miles .”

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $12,000.

Looks solid.

“1951 USN Military Police M38. I’ve had her for a few years and been fixing her up. I don’t want to sell her, but I need to so I can fund schooling.

You can see some of the original stencils under the paint.

Runs and Drives, all lights work. I drive her around town and take her to the local airport Frequently.”

“1951 Willys M38 Jeep
Willys serial # MC24291. Oregon DMV assigned # DRF84972, this is the VIN on the title, they probably couldn’t find the tag behind the seat.
Powered by a Chevy 327 that runs good and actually makes it quite scary fast to drive.
Very good power steering and 11” brakes, it stops good.
3 speed transmission with over drive, 2 speed transfer with locking hubs.
It shifts good and doesn’t pop out of gear.
All lights, turn signals and gauges are working, good oil pressure and the charging system works.
No speedometer (see photos).
Twin fuel tanks, full roll cage, tilt wheel and good tires.
Has one small rust spot underneath (see photos) and a front end alignment is due.
All around a good solid old military jeep that is fast and entertaining to drive.
Clear California title.
California residents will be subject to DMV fees and 7.25% sales tax.

Just the body and front clip. Not the whole jeep.

“1951 Jeep Willy’s M38 military jeep. I am selling the body ONLY. I have replaced the original body with a new. Comes with the tube, both fenders, hood, grill, and with windshield frame without the glass. Does have rust. Will send more pictures of rust upon request. Asking $1,500 OBO.”

“$5500 obo. I know what I have and 1951-1953 M38’s were the fewest made. This jeep is built so that you can drive on the highway (55-60mph) and off-road.

1951 M38 Willys Military Jeep. Was 24 volt but has been converted to 12 volt. I have been working on this project for many years and I’m not interested in finishing it. I have taken this down to the frame and started to put it back together. It ran and drove before my restoration began.
It has a:
Buick V6 even fire out of an early Grand National (better than the odd fires) (could put a turbo on it!)
Dana 27 front axle
Dana 44 Rear axle
Brand new Rancho 2.5 inch lift kit with new leafs and shocks
Muncie SM422 4-speed
T-18 Transfer case (brand new adapter from Novak)
Super Swamper 32.5 inch tires (5 of them)
DISC BRAKES new brake lines
