UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
This looks to be a CJ-3A with an M-38 body and front clip (except for grille).
“This CJ3A has been restored with a rebuilt engine and a new body, braking system, 12-volt electrical system, seats and soft top. In addition, five 6 x 16 inch unmounted wheels are included. It’s not perfect, but it runs well. I will consider reasonable offers.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $18,500.
Seller will take cash or paypal.
“Note: This Jeep does not have a title. It will be sold with a bill of sale only. Don’t read any further if you can’t deal with buying it on a bill of sale only. Getting a title is possible through a title company or through the DMV in your state once you purchase it depending on the laws in your state.
Offered is a completely rebuilt beautiful 1952 Willys M38 Army Jeep. Serial #64192.
This jeep was rescued from a farmer in Lafayette, NJ in 2014. It underwent a frame off restoration. I’ve owned over thirty jeeps and have restored approx. 20 of them and have sold them successfully on e-Bay. This Jeep had an excellent 1952 M38 frame and drive train minus the engine. I added a civilian CJ3A engine outfitted to look like an MC engine that was professionally rebuilt by Sigafoos Machine Shop in Easton, PA.

Carl pointed out that this looks earlier than a 1952. It also has an interesting set of hubs, but I can’t tell what they are.

“Genuine Willys Overland Jeep M38 Army Military issue 1952! (The last year of this breed).
This little Willys M38 has been painted blaze hunter orange but under that it still wears its original army olive drab green! Does not have glass in the windshield frame. Jeep still retains much of its original attire including: seats, wheels, tires, black out lights, fuel tank, tail-gate, bumper, bumperettes, serial plate, and many other small items that usually get stripped after 66 years. Even the US 5 gallon gas can is 1952!
The tub itself is actually in good shape, the only real serious cancer resides under the gas tank as pictured. It’s has a seam split in that area that was created for drainage. Also, a few holes punched out with a screw driver in the storage compartment for drainage.
This sale does include a complete Willys L134 flat-head 4 cylinder engine with just about everything to put it on the road again! Not sure what the actual mileage is, it reads 00000??
I currently do not have the title, the lady I bought it from lost it in her house?? She did give me a photograph of the title.
Over-all this army Jeep is a great candidate for a restoration project! These Jeep’s are legends, they worked hard for the soldiers who fought, bleed and died for freedom…”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
Could be worth a look. Pics are small.
“M38. Jeep is in great shape. This jeep was built over the last 24 months. Tons of $ and time have been put into this jeep. Everything was either rebuilt or replaced. Rebuilt trans has less than 10 miles on it. Runs, Drives and stops like a M38 should. Has a title. No top or doors. $8000 Cash or trade for something old and cool with wheels.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(11/01/2017) I don’t recognize the hardtop.
“1940 something army jeep for sale. Has new tires, shocks, fuel pump. Needs restoring. Runs and yard drives. I don’t need any help selling. I don’t buy or sell on Saturday.”

The windshield, grille, gas tank, and lack of drain hole suggests this is an M-38.
