Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Jim spotted this one. Engine doesn’t spin, but there still may be some parts value.
“I have a 1952 jeep willys m38. There is no tub. Everything else is there, engine, trans, t case and diffs all original. I can not get motor to spin over but would definitely need to be rebuilt anyways. Has fenders hood, windshield grill. And spare tire. I apologize to all who contacted me last week as I was contemplating getting rid of it or not but it has got to go. Clean nc title”

That windshield doesn’t appear to fit well (gap between the cowl and windshield. It’s also not clear to me that it would hold up for long even under moderate speeds (hard to tell how it is anchored to the body).

Other than a few minor changes made by original owner (e.g. overdrive, lap belts, and blinkers added in 1960s), this warehouse discovery is as good as it gets. It’s a project.
“I have been building my willys for 3 1/2 years and its time to make room for the all the new kids toys. The main focus for me has been the drive train. I put a small block chevy bored 60 over, new bearings and rings, rebuilt heads…. pretty much new parts throughout the entire engine. It is just beautiful… never fired- new babies and new job = no time! lol… It has a K case 4wd turbo 350 rebuilt, advance adapter kit to the rebuilt stock dana spicer 18 transfer case. I have drivelines, u joints, seats, 500 radiator brand new, new wiring harness, powder coated intake, powder coated water pump, 160 amp powder coated alternator, mini starter, etc… way to much to list. I just want someone to enjoy it! Mama wants it gone asap. the drivetrain is worth more than 3500- the jeep is just a bonus:) If you want to come see it please let me know. I am firm on the price! If you have something you would like to trade I am open to hear it. Cash would be best though. ”
