About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is a M38A1 Military jeep with all of the sealed electrical, It was running when parked years ago but i don’t think it would take much to get it back up and running. All of the mil data plates are still on the dash. I am clearing out all of my projects make an offer I might even trade for hunting items.”
“This is my personal Jeep. I bought it in 1986 as part of a consignment of military vehicles from Camp Mabry in Austin, TX. Runs great. Engine, transmission, drive train, all body parts, and seats are as they were when the Jeep came out of Camp Mabry. Painted in 1987. Carb, wiring harness, side rear-view mirror are old/new replacements. The only non-military part is the water temp gauge. The Jeep has been kept in covered parking for the last 16 years in the high desert of Fort Davis, TX. Virtually no rust.”
It runs. It looks to be a CJ-3A chassis with an M-38A1 body.
“This is a 1962 Willy’s Jeep 4×4 with all original 4 cylinder/3 speed running gear. Has new upholstery, new tires, new mag wheels, all new wiring under dash.”
“A true piece of American History!
1954 M-38 A-1 Willys Military Jeep. It has been converted to 12-volt. Hurricane 4 cylinder engine. Engine is in Perfect Running Order. A roll bar has been added, the bar is bolted, not welded so that it may be removed if you wish.
Restored and in Great condition! Perfect for any military enthusiast! Great for parades and showcasing! Comes with bill of sale, has never been registered or on the road.”
“1950 or 1951 Willys CJ3 Jeep. Newly rebuilt 4 cylinder. Starts and runs good. High seats, racks and dog cages. Needs brake work and some tender loving care. $2000 upfront, no payments. Any questions please text or call. There is NO title!!”
“I have a jeep that I have had for a while, I have done some work to it and put some original parts on it that were missing when found. It runs and drives but could use a few things here and there to make it road worthy. The 4 wheel drive does work. I have the original gas tank and cover that goes around the gas tank. it will go with it for the right price …. key word right price.. no trades no bartering just cash.. no movers no checks while you are out at sea or whatever it is this week”
This is an ex-fire station jeep, which would explain the unusual paint job.
“1952 M38A1. Serial Number 22011, date of manufacture 9/1952. It was an ex-Marine, then Fire Department Jeep. I’ve owned it for about 20 years with the intention of restoring it back to original, it was painted maroon before I bought it. Original military jeep with the 24 volt waterproof electrical system. No rust, only some light surface corrosion in spots. New NDCC tires, wiring harness, batteries, canvas seat covers, spark plug wires, and summer top. Rear seat and external power connector. Many extra parts: 3 voltage regulators, generator to voltage regulator cable, original light switch, 2ea winter doors (not in the best shape, 1 winter side flap, new door bows, old set of plug wires, extra black out light lamp, original gauges (37800 miles on it), extra military style wire connectors and covers, original spring & horse hair seat covers, 4ea NOS ground straps, battery hold down brackets, new parking brake arm and shoes, engine electrical test kit (Sun model WPW-10), new grill welt, extra cuno oil filter gaskets, NOS radio antenna mount, spare ammeter gauge, misc hardware, parts manual and service manual.”
“USMC Jeep that spent many years on a ranch behind Mt. Hamilton. New paint, wheels, tires, seats and glass. Great fun running around town or up in the hills. New front disc brake conversion added. Runs fine on an original 4 cylinder “Hurricane” engine and stock 3 speed and 4 wheel drive.”
