About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
If you like green carpet, this might be a the jeep for you.
“Jeep in very good condition. Tires and wheels in excellent shape. Custom made cab and rear enclosure. Sound mechanical condition runs very good. Has heater, comes with tow bar and good spare tire, highway legal. Sale Price $3,900.”
“Up for sale is this very rare, early, 1942 Willys MB.
It is a true “WILLYS” script jeep.
Has clear Texas title
Data plate on glove box and frame number match. 160240 Production date 7/20/42
Engine is stamped GPW-2766. It also has an “F” script head.
Engine has all major components and spins freely.
All drive train and suspension components present.
Comes with original windshield frame, drivers seat frame and steering wheel.
I also have a set of 4 combat rims included with this jeep.
As you can see it also has the “ram horn” style tow hooks and the period correct U.S.M.C. stenciling on drivers side of tub. These two items can not absolutely confirm but chances are better than average that this was indeed a Marine Corps jeep.”
“Over this Memorial Day weekend, consider buying yourself the quintessential American vehicle that won WWII. With a very heavy heart I have decided to part with my jeep. I did a complete restoration on this jeep back in the late 90’s, had it in several Petaluma Veteran’s Day Parades, and used it as a regular driver for a long time. I drove the hell out of it, so much so that it needed to go through another rebuild.
“World War II 1943 MB Willys Jeep, new tires, frame off restoration 95% complete, not running at this time, all original body, ID tags on dash and frame”
This is unusual. Seems to have some MB parts and custom parts.
“I HAVE A OLD WILLYS JEEP THAT HAS BEEN MY GARAGE FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS. IT HAS A 1942 FORD TRUCK FRAME APPERANTLY BUT I AM NOT SURE OF ALL THE SPECIFICS. I PULLED IT OUT CHANGED THE OIL, OILED THE GENERATOR, PRIMED THE FUEL PUMP AND CLEANED THE POINTS AND BOOM, IT STARTED UP. IT HAS A BIKINI TOP TO IT. I GOT THIS ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO. I NEVER LICENSED IT. IT HAS A REGISTRATION PAPER DATING TO THE 60S. I SPOKE WITH DMV THIS WEEK AND THEY SAID MADISON SPECIAL REGISTRATION CAN TITLE THIS. THIS IS AN AS IS SALE. BATTERY IS DEAD SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING ONE. OR I CAN PROVIDE ONE TEMPORARILY SO YOU CAN HEAR IT RUN.”
Joe reported the following: Wanted to share some pics of a Willys MB, delivery date 3/8/45, that was auctioned in a South Bethany Beach, Delaware estate sale on Saturday, May 15, 2015. Winning bid was $3,450. The jeep appeared to be mostly complete with a majority of hard-to-find-items intact including a tandem tow bar but had lots of surface rust with only one area of rust-through. The motor is seized. Title status was unknown at the time of sale. Proves once again that these little gems are still out there, even after 70 years!!!
“Unique ownership history. Not many of these WWII era vehicles available.
Complete with machine gun mount.
Serious inquiries only. Please respond with your contact information if interested.”
Of course, it isn’t all stock, but still worth a look. It kind of runs. McLeary is a wet area, so check for rust.
“Hey there, you are looking at a stock Willy’s Flat fender with a L head ford 134 4 cylinder in it. I helped my brother in law out who needed cash, but really do not have the room or time for another jeep project. My father in law did a full brake job,and tune up 4 years ago, and the jeep has not been on the road since. I went to Mcleary, Wa with a battery, 5 gallons of fresh gas and a trailer. I was able to get it running and drive it onto the trailer in just a few mins. It will need lots of tinkering to make it a driver, but the bones are all there and in good shape. Please not trades, or payments. Just looking to recoup my costs. 19k miles on the Odometer, but who knows at this age. ”
Not the deal of a lifetime and not all original, but could have some good value.
“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A ONCE IN A LIFETIME DEAL! YOU FOUND IT.
RUNS GREAT, DRIVES GREAT, LOOKS GREAT. ORIGINAL MILITARY ISSUED WILLY’S JEEP, HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION. PLEASE CALL IF INTERESTED.”
(04/21/2015) “1944 Military Willys MB came from California. Body solid some pin holes in passenger side floor boards. Switch to 12 volt needs battery. Needs paint, seats(?), some wiring.
has hardtop
Not sure what else took in trade have not had time go over it.
Do not care if I sell or not. May consider antique vehicles, or 4×4 SUVs low mileage. or farm tractor in trade.”
Hasn’t been run in a while and has some non-stock items. I don’t think that gas tank will hold much gas.
“Engine: 4 Cylinder
Transmission: 3 Speed
Options: Black Out Lights, Rear Body Mounted Power Take-Off
This Jeep Has Been in Storage for 30+ Years. Motor Is Loose, But Has Not Been Run In Over 30+ Years. The Car Has Some Rust, But Is Restorable. ”
