Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Engine has been changed to an F-head.
“I have a 1944 Willys Jeep for sale. Original F head motor that runs, manual transmission. Jeep has no rust on it. I had plans to turn it into a fun project, but I went and joined The United States Marine Corps, now its sitting in my fathers back yard. Has the original front seats, frame has been gone through and fully tubed. Roll cage is still there also. Only thing missing on this jeep is the gauges. I am in the process of getting the title switch into a Colorado title, right now it has a valid State of Florida title. If you have any questions, please contact me. Price is negotiable, $2500”

This is a project, but includes a GPA motor.
“I have a 1943 Willys jeep for sale, in process of restoring but moving forces sale, frames is excellent, normal rusted out areas for body, but easy fix, engine does turn over, transfer case is good, still some orginal paint on all parts, “F” stamped transmission and transfer case, GPA motor, rare engine. DOD is FEB 19-29 1943….Have title that matches orginal body/Frame. Engine was overhauled in Topeka KS 08/24/1945 with all STD bearings so you know it wasn’t abused. Has 4 Combat rims
In photo it has cj2 headlights but previous owner just mounted them there, not buckets, has hinged brackets under hood.”

This was for sale back in 2012.
“Ground up restoration of original WWII army jeep in 1994, very well kept since. Used in WWII reenactments and parades, always kept garaged. Runs great. Has working siren, pioneer tools, “jerry” can, radiator overflow tank, wire cutter, rear mounted storage basket, canvas top (not pictured), machine gun pedestal mount. Machine gun pictured is NOT included, has already been sold. ”
