Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. sI’m not sure what a “Jeep Master” is? The seller has some history on this jeep’s travel to Japan and back.
“For sale is 1942 Jeep Master. Given that it was built in 1942; it is an army Jeep. Jeep was manufactured by Willy’s overland motor company. Truck is a 3/4 ton with improved F-head engine (still have original engine and will be included with price) with 16, 171 miles although an estimated 90k miles are on the body. Truck is 4WD with a floating axle. Great story on this car. Traveled to Japan where it had its transfer case replaced in 1952. (have receipts) From there it rested at a boy scout camp in Arizona. After this a friend purchased in in 1960 and sold to me in 1968 where I have owned it since. Truck runs well but needs a restoration man to achieve her full potential. Asking $9,450. Willing to hear offers. Delivery possible”

“1942 tub 1949 Willys frame and title. Chevy 5.7 fuel injected 350 engine. Yes around 300 horses for a 2400 pound jeep. It is fast. Has a ganny gear for climbing. Dyna 44 front and rear axles. custom fuel tank behind seats. Brand new cap, sparkplug wires, and spark plugs. Warn winch on front. Wired with tow setup. Power steering. Front disc brakes. Will do highway speeds. $7000OBO”

“I have two Willys MB’s which are good for some parts.. Or maybe you are crazy enough to restore one of them. Make me a fair offer and they are yours. If you only want one that is fine too. I will deliver each within 25 miles of Kingston for an additional $25. Got to pay for the gas. I also have an early 1940’s GPW If you are interested.”

Here’s another nice looking restoration, but it has a GPW body (or at least tool lids).

“this is a 1945 willys army jeep. intact a little ruff but no holes and original. this is the good one not the civilian one it has glove compartment rear spare tire holder rear fender boxed dash brake handle..etc. I have gotten a few quotes so I have an idea what its worth.. serious only will consider trades…”

“Rare Army jeep with Willys frame and Ford GPW body. Just had the entire brake system redone. Runs and drives well. A great WWII military Jeep. Has a tow bar that can be easily removed and a 12 volt system.”
