Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1942 tub 1949 Willys frame and title. Chevy 5.7 fuel injected 350 engine. Yes around 300 horses for a 2400 pound jeep. It is fast. Has a ganny gear for climbing. Dyna 44 front and rear axles. custom fuel tank behind seats. Brand new cap, sparkplug wires, and spark plugs. Warn winch on front. Wired with tow setup. Power steering. Front disc brakes. Will do highway speeds. $7000OBO”

“I have two Willys MB’s which are good for some parts.. Or maybe you are crazy enough to restore one of them. Make me a fair offer and they are yours. If you only want one that is fine too. I will deliver each within 25 miles of Kingston for an additional $25. Got to pay for the gas. I also have an early 1940’s GPW If you are interested.”

Here’s another nice looking restoration, but it has a GPW body (or at least tool lids).

“1945 WWII Willys Jeep MB 421576. Ready for parades, display and/or reenactments. Body off rebuild. Looks good and drives and handles superbly. Restored by a professional with 25 Jeep restorations to his credit. The old speedometer showed 45,000 miles and was replaced and now shows 355 miles.
The Jeep does not require and further work. It is a vehicle that has won many accolades in parades and on display.
Reason for Selling: Owners age and health.”
