Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The front clip includes some CJ-3A Parts. The front crossmember suggests this might be a GPW rather than a MB.

(01/15/2012) The body has the Willys Script and appears in good condition. This might be a pre glovebox body!

Jim forwarded me the following images he took of the MBs at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Az.
Jim writes, “The 390th Bomb Group Museum has a B-17 flying fortress on display, a long with a MB that has been restored and donated to the museum. It needs a fuel tank flush, new radiator hoses, and I bet a carb rebuild. I hope to assist them on this the next time I make it home. There is also a MB on display in another hanger that is part of a display dedicated to the Red Tails fighter group. I am sending a few pics of them. They have one of the largest aircraft display’s around!”

“This jeep is a project but it is complete as it sits. It has a seized up motor and tranny. Body is complete, fenders hood, bumpers, steering wheel, pedals, two grills(one original and one newer crome one), shocks, leafs, rollbar, ect.. even has a soft top that will come with it.
The only missing things as far as I can see is the floorboard and the windshield.
My dad has had this jeep for 20+ years and lost the title, call/ text for more info on that. But if you wanna make a trailer rig out of it, then it doesn’t matter.
Asking 1000 or best offer. Give me an offer and I just might take it.

UPDATE: Sold prior to reaching the reserve on eBay.
Someone this jeep got listed in the memorabilia section of eBay rather than in the auto section … Only 12 hours left as of this post. Might be able to get a deal if the reserve is low.
“hello, this is my 1944 fully restored jeep willys, it is frame off, engine was taken apart, transmission was taken apart, every piece was taken , it was all restored piece by piece then put back together, it looks just the way it did when it came off the line and sent to the war back in 1944, it comes with a replica m1 grande and full leather holster, this is museum quality and one of the nicest you will ever see, ready to take to the shows and win trophys, there was over 32 thousand dollars spent on this jeep, and that does not include the hundreds of man hours, this has been my baby for awhile now, was never taken outside but for a few times and driven around the parking lot, the camera flash makes it look lighter in color!!”
This appears to be a MB, though it’s been patched at the step. Looks like it has a glove box.
