This jeep engine starts up and runs.. sounds beautiful.
Title in hand.

5 split rim wheels ( 4 are on jeep one on spare)

4 new tires ( 1 on jeep rt now)
Windshield glass is NOT broken

UPDATE:  Brian picked this up today.  He reports it has a near perfect GPW body with a MB frame. The engine has a Ford head with a 2a or 3a block. It has a T84. It came with a 3a windshield.

This appears to be sagging a bit.  The body doesn’t appear too bad, but can’t tell for sure.

Brett forwarded this Ad.  There might be some value here, but this thing has seen some tough love (and I’m not talking the good kind).

“1943 Jeep. Has a swapped in 283 from a corvette. I bought this as a project and have had no time to work on it. The previous owner claimed that it ran when he parked it, but had a problem with the clutch and had to be started in gear to move it. It has a towbar attached and can be towed locally easily. (04/12/2010) I think it will go faster with some wheel.  Looks nice though.

“42 willys jeep 231buick v6 sm420 trans dana20 transfer dana 44 rear dana 44 front 4:88 gear ratio posi rr both diffs have been converted to disk brake but need to be finished frt needs axles and hubs rr needs calipers have all info for completion motor and trans have 1100 miles on them rancho 3″lift with rs5000 shocks both have same mileage.  Jeep has been rewired with painless wiring kit and single wire 100amp alt stewart warner gauges tilt wheel custom bucket seats3″4 point harness 6 point full rollcage fuel cell soft top with doors custom lightbar with 4 kc lights all switches are marine grade this jeep just needs to be put back together to be a great 4×4”

(04/17/2010) This is a project.  Maytown … where the heck is Maytown? I had to look that one up.

“It is complete, but needs to be put back together. It has a clear title. It has two Chevrolet 4.3 liter V6 motors. One is carbureted, the other is fuel injected. The fuel injected motor runs for sure and is complete with computer and wire harness. The only thing missing is a fuel pump. It has a rebuilt Dana 18 transfer case (needs oil added). It has a rebuilt T90 3 speed transmission (needs oil added). It has new seats. It has new fuel cell. The body has surface rust, but is solid. It has extra fenders, hoods, and grills”

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $4900.

“I have a running 1942 Willy’s Slat Grille Jeep. It has the original tub / body, original frame complete with machine gun mount in rear, and original slat grille also has an original late model MB radiator. Roughly 2500 were made with this particular grille and even less were made with the glovebox. Runs very well feel free to email me if you have any questions or if you want more pictures about the vehicle.”

UPDATE:  This appears to have sold quickly. The jeep and trailer were priced at $2500.

“1944 Willys Jeep with trailer. Was street legal and tagged. Tire went flat and I parked it in the garage 9 years ago. Original jeep tires were hard to find. Good project for the military vehicle fan or would make a great hunting jeep. Comes with extra canvas.”
