About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(11/19/09) The driver’s indents are gone, but the lack of a gas inlet suggests they might be filled in or replaced. It’s got MB fenders, but I suspect the grille might be a CJ as is the windshield.
“I have a 45 willys for sale or trade. It has a 350 v8 munzi 4 speed dana 44 rear and 25 front. ”
This might be a good price. The body looks in good condition from what I can tell.
“Low hood flatfender willys, with mid 80’s chevy Iron Horse 4 cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission. Engine runs and is installed but is not hooked up. New radiator core, 2-1/2″ lift springs, body is pretty strait .Good tires and wheels,Has steering column but not installed.I have original transfer case (doesn’t fit new trans) but nothing installed.4 point cage, no windshield frame or top.”
(06/18/09) This might be a MB body with a CJ-2A from clip.

This looks like an MB that’s been slightly modified.

“I am selling this rig only because of seriously failing health. I bought it nearly three years ago so I could fiddle with it and drive it as a hobby. It gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.I can still drive it but can no longer work on it. The previous owner was a mid seventies retired MP who had restored three Willys MB’s. This 1942 was his third and he said it was time to let it go. I liked it so much I had it shipped in a covered trailer all the way from Ruffsdale, PA to Baton Rouge, LA. I was an MP myself in the mid 60’s so I had a lot of Jeep time in the M151 but always wanted a WWII version. It and the trailer have been garaged before and since my acquisition. The Jeep speaks for itself. It’s in really good condition. It was not cleaned up in any fashion prior to the pictures being taken. Didn’t even wash it. I didn’t “shiny” anything up under the hood to try to put a fresh look on it…..
The trailer is a rare Bantam. One source has it as a very early post war where the first two hundred were produced with a military style seamed axle, combat wheels, and were painted olive drab. This trailer fits. The Bantam letters on the data plate are block rather than Italic placing it wartime or immediate post war. It also has the heavy three position shoe and thick lunette for the military pintle hitch, chains and hooks. It’s also got blackout lights. Go figure ….”
This is highly customized. One of the more unusual customizations is the unusual change to the grille.
“1942 Willy’s Jeep, 327 Motor, 400 Auto, Posi-front & rear. 36 inch Tires. New-Carb, Fuel Pump, Starter, Aluminum Radiator, Electric Fan, and Much More. Clean….and Strong Runner. Will Consider trades for Motorcycles, Guns, ATV’S and Classic Cars”
“Willys Jeep – 1943 MB Jeep in excellent condition. Restored several years ago in Arizona and has been garage kept except when used for hunting, which has been minimal. Jeep has no visible holes or rust. It’s in need of a good wash job and detail. Used only three times in the last four years and it’s time it goes to a new home. Engine is 4 cylinder, 3 speed transmission, 4X4. Watson, manual lock out front hubs, Viking Winch with electric remote control, new battery, brake shoes replaced by brake shop – less than 100 miles ago. Has a tow bar, leather seats, a small bikini top, couple of gun holders, and a pair of 5 gallons gas cans and holders on the rear end, next to the spare tire. Mileage,31496, is what shows on the speedometer, don’t have a clue if iit’s accurate.
I bought the jeep from my father in law who is the one who restored the jeep 35-40 years ago. It was restored in Arizona and has only been in Colorado for the past 4 years, but is always garaged. Runs great, starts easy. I don’t know of anything not working on the jeep. It just sets around and isn’t getting used so it’s time for it to move on. Transportation, will be up to the new owner. Payment will need to be made in full prior to title exchange and transportation.”
It’s a little rough, but looks solid. Some paint might clean this right up.
“1944 MB Willys Jeep , GPW frame , CJ2A/3A Head . 4×4 , WWII era , axe and shovel holder , new clutch , converted to 12 volt , runs good , some rust , extra parts including soft doors , tow bar , Warn hubs , Winch , roll cage , same owner for 34 years. Have more pictures if need. Asking $2,900.”
“I have a 1943 Willys World War 2 Jeep that “Bubba” has modified. Actually I have been told this is a “MEESE” from the Phillipines?? Front fenders are different, has either a 1955 or ’56 Chevy 265 with original T84 and transfer. Jeep does run but needs total restoration. Unique looking Jeep. Sorry I have no camera so you would need to come and take a look/see. Located just outside of Watseka, Il. $2000 cash only, In God I Trust. Thanks”
