About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This has a nice rollcage, and HEI distributor, v6 headers, and possibly a one wire alternator with the V-6. This might be a decent deal, especially if you have another tranny around.
“1943 Jeep Willys. Engine works, tranny doesn’t. Locked up. Was planning on fixing, but after a year and a half, haven’t. Jeep’s located 20 mins. east of Julian. Call me at 619-722-7065 for more information and a time to go see Jeep.”
This is a dissembled project with a rough body that needs to go asap.
“1945 Willys MB, has been sitting in the garage for about 8years. I have take the gas tank, seats (not original) and wiring out. Does not run, but did. Body is shot, frame and running gear are in great shape. $1200 firm. You must trailer away. ”
The title of the add suggested it was a GPW, but given the willys tub, I’d call it a mix.
“Have nice running and driving 42 jeep all ford except has willys tub and title , 5 ford tires ..rebuilt motor and clutch etc ,not a show jeep but a good dependable jeep with star set and repair manual, windshield cover ,skid plate ,calif title ..$7500 or OBO or trade for antique car …760-938-2250 swcarl@hotmail.com ..thanks SWCARL”
“1944 Willys MB Jeep. $15,000.00 OBO, I bought in Jan 2005 in Arizona and Restored it from the ground up. It has a new tub. Engine is Rebuilt, T-84 is rebuilt. All new wiring, Generator, Starter etc…. All parts bought from Ron Fitzpatrick Jeep Parts, Beachwood Canvas and Besinger. I have put on Approx 5400 miles on it since restoration. It is titled and licensed in Nebraska. Insurtance runs me $114.00 a year. All light work. also included are some spare parts, tools, Jack, Crank, extra Gas and Water cans etc….”
This might be a fine parts jeep at the very least. I can’t tell if all the parts are really there or not.
“1942 Willys military jeep. I took this jeep apart because I was going to restore it frame up. It is taken apart in main pieces but all of the main parts are there and most of the small pieces. Motor is frozen from weather. All is inside except the tub which is not in good shape but can restored by someone with time and know how. I gave up on the project because it is to big for me and I just bought another jeep. Asking $700.00. Jason- 360-278-3470.”
Here’s a great looking slat grille. It’s not 100% original, but is in excellent condition.
“This is an awsome early (less than 7% of the total war time production) Willys slat grill MB! It’s date of delivery is January 2nd, 1942 and the matching frame & dash data tag list it as serial number “108808” It’s has the body tub features peculiar to these early jeeps like the script “Willys”on the rear panel, square shaped fuel tank well, no glovebox on the passenger’s side dash, and dual hinge rear tool box lids. The fuel tank’s the correct “small mouth” and the windshield, seats, hood, grill, baffles…all of the body parts…are original correct slat grill components. It even has the correct “fluted” inner axle shafts that are always missing, the cast windshield hold down clamps, and the early “pancake” style air cleaner. This is a genuine early slat grill jeep!….”
This seller makes a valiant attempt to disclose all that is wrong with this jeep. How about those ‘hood blocks’?
“Up today is a 1942 Willys MB Jeep. This was a BUBBA special,You know BUBBA dont you? He puts the wrong tub on the Jeep,Then to add insult to injury he puts a big roll bar and the standard do not fit junk bucket seats and there you go. Well the roll bar and the seats were the first to go.Here is what you have. The parts that are mb are as follows.Frame with MB tag and s/n,Front fenders, grill hood front axle. What is cj are the tub and engine and the rear end. I do not know about the trans if it is mb of cj.Eng runs pretty good and has good oil pressure,It does smoke a little. The 4 wheel drive seems to work ok in the high and low range ….”
I’m pretty sure this is a ’42 at the earliest. Looks loved.
“1941 Willy Jeep, All original with the exception changed from 6volt to 12 volt, new transmission, new top, new tires, w/spare, ready for desert trail riding. Tow bar on front. “
