“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep that I have been working on for some time to use as a camp jeep. Prior to my purchase the previous owner had completely disassembled it and then cleaned and painted the frame, transmission, transfer case, and the front & rear ends (inside and out). He also replaced the brakes and brake lines.

I mounted a WW2 military body onto the frame which is very solid and has a new floor. The engine is supposed to run and spins freely but I haven’t tried to get it running yet. It was converted to 12volt for easier starting and has an alternator, new gauges and new battery. I have just run out of time to finish it and need the space in my garage for winter. Included with the jeep are a tailgate, windshield frame, steering column, driver and passenger seat, new steering bellcrank repair kit, clutch and brake pedals and other misc. items. It will need a gas tank and muffler, windshield glass and no doubt some other items to finish it up.”

“A farmer purchased it from the Fort Irwin Army Logistics Base just outside Barstow California in 1966. We got it from him in 1996. It has been under a roof ever since.
The farmer put a Willys F head engine in it along with larger drum brakes. The hood was cut for the carburetor. Carburetor has been replaced so hood will clear when corrected. He also swapped out the windshield to a latter / taller version. An electric Ramsey winch was also installed by the farmer.

Very little rust in easy to get at area. Runs and drives nicely.
It is still available if you see this add. I won’t negotiate without you seeing it.”

“1942 Willys MB slat grill project, early model with no glove box, has postwar engine (turns) , t84 transmission that shifts freely. Frame Looks to be pretty good minus the usual gussets and rear crossmember. Body tub is rough but repairable using new floor pans and a rear panel. Front clip is restorable. Slat grill is pretty nice. Came from Georgia so no title as they didn’t title older vehicles. Has four excellent combat wheels that can or can’t be included depending on deal. I’m looking to trade for a restorable m151a2 jeep , lots of work needed is ok but need a restorable candidate . May also consider a complete m274 mule but mainly looking for m151a2”

UPDATE: **SOLD** for $14,100.

Bill shared this one. The seller claims to not know what this model is, but it has a slat grille and lacks a glove box. It does not have the squared off gas tank. Currently, it’s sitting at $12,100.

“Not a Jeep expert. Found a Ford. So this one goes. Excellent runner. Well maintained. A few small oil leaks. Newly rebuild WW2 transmission. Not sure whatS original and what isn’t. So you will need to ask questions. If your looking for a good runner for re enacting or just cruising around town. This is the Jeep for you.”

“Date of delivery 10/29/43. Original body and tub. Original engine, transmission and running gear. 6 volt system. Matching data plate and frame numbers. Beachwood canvas. 4 new Goodyear S3 military tires with original Goodyear spare tire. All tires are mounted on combat rims. New wiring harness and gauges. Frame hat channels are in good condition. Everything works well including service lights, blackout lights, horn, gauges, toolbox locks, etc. Accessories include 1942 M1 rifle scabbard. I have owned the Jeep for 8 years and it has always been dependable and runs great.”
