About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Still trying to figure out exactly what this is. Suspected to be extended for military medical use. No title. Not running but was recently. Will consider trades for a vehicle capable of towing a trailer well long distance”
What is that hanging off the passenger side? Field, motor pool, or bubba mod?
“Military Jeep straight from MASH or any other WWII movie that you have ever seen. Local collector has owned for over 20 years and it just became available. There are lots of imitations out there but this is the real deal. NOT a clone or reproduction.”
Some GPW and MB stuff, including what may be a slat grille MB.
“1943 model gpw, 1941willys, 1951 251 m38a1 Enough parts to make 2 good ones possibly 3. 3 complete engines, 4 transmissions and transfer cases. 1 complete body is brand new.”
“1942 Jeep Willys MB Military flatfender
Vehicle is complete but not running. It is at tail end of complete frame off restoration but I haven’t touched it in 5 years and am moving on to something different. Title is clean, registered non-op in California as a 1947 CJ-2A. No smog ever. Looking for $8,750.
Here are the highlights:
1942 tub, some bondo from previous owner but not much. OD Green paint with nicely aged patina.

“Looking to trade or sale i want a nice sandrail or sxs or? 1942 willys jeep sbc muncie 4sp new led head lights and 50in light bar 95% 33in tires very nice inside and out”
“1942 Willys MB with TITLE!!
Everything Sandblasted & mostly epoxy primed, has motor/trans & many other parts, some salvageable, some not. The serial numbers on the block and head match they have been verified of the same era. The trans appears to be from a GPW. Once the frame was blasted, it was amazing just how nice it turned out. The frame other than the front and rear bumpers, is next to 100%. Everything is very clean.
The body, is definitely 77 years old. It’s actually quite amazing how little rust it does have.. basically only where the wood runners go under the drivers & pass floor pan & some in the gas tank area. But, overall the panels are not very straight & would require major body work to be presentable. The real value with this jeep is matching block serial #’s, a very clean frame & title. They reproduce everything for these jeeps, all the steel is easily attainable. But, this one has a couple bullet holes. :)”
“42 military jeep with updated 1953 hurricane engine(CJ3B F134). Good restoration project since all sheet metal is repairable. Engine ran great before storage and turns freely. All parts stored dry. Has clear title.
Need to reduce my restoration projects. No odometer so had to post random #”
(03/08/2019) Body might be in good shape, though it’s had some work done.
“I have a 1948 Jeep Willy’s for sale, there is no engine, but it has a Chevy transmission. The body’s in good shape and would make a great project. What you see if what I have!”
At least the add doesn’t claim this jeep is “all original”. Nice to see a set of civilian top bows nicely stored in the CJ-2A bow holders. The body appears to have had the rear wheel wells replaced.

(12/14/2018) This might have a rare set of Thor Auto-matic hubs. Frame frame appears to be an MB/GPW frame. The body has a custom inlet and a glove box (though not a standard shape); my best guess is that it’s a replacement body or a customized body of some vintage. Title is from Thailand??
