Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “64 Jeep CJ 5 project, fiberglass tub, 4 cyl, 3 speed plus it has a Warn overdrive system installed so you have the option for overdrive in all 3 gears. Needs interior, tires and master cyl. Motor runs good just have to many projects.”
This truck has been shortened and had it’s top lopped off. And, it’s still a project.
“Selling our project, bought this 1953 Willy’s Jeep truck last year intented to paint it and drive it daily. But we have to many projects. It is on a early Willy’s Jeep frame. The guy we bought it from cut the bed down and made it a convertible. Every nut and bolt is new on this. No rust anywhere. Has a 302 out of a 1970 mustang needs a tune up. The wintch works. Has new breaks and a hydraulic clutch. New exhaust except one of the new mufflers needs to be replaced. Needs front shocks”

What a day yesterday! I woke up to learn that my deilers.com site (which also hosts the Alaska Or Rust site) had been hacked. If you viewed the site on a phone, you’d get a nice photo of an undressed young lady. As you can imagine, that’s a problem.
After some research, I learned that some from Turkey (probably that was spoofed IP) has uploaded zipped files, added some .htaccess files, and changed some the website files. While attempting to douse that fire (which I’ve fixed about 25% of the way), I was also packing for a short trip to Seattle. My father has surgery on his leg to improve its circulation.
Meanwhile, my mom is still on her walker from her knee surgery, due to newly pulled groin and other issues. To see the following each other, both pushing walkers, is a bit humbling!
So, I’m a little behind today. Sunday I *should* be back to normal.
I’m taking the day off. Updates will resume on Monday morning.
I tried hard to avoid my wife’s cold (even left in the motorhome for a few days), but I still caught it. So, I’m taking it easy today (Sunday). Just a few updates for Monday.
I’m back after a couple of days of camping. Since I worked while camping, I took last night off. However, I do have several posts for today. Enjoy!
