Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Upon our return home on Friday we learned there’d been a kitchen faucet leak. No damage to the cabinet, but the leaking faucet led to a new sink/faucet combo. So, there was no time for eWillys updates for Sunday. Updates will resume Monday morning!

I’m currently rebuilding, for a customer, a 1940 willys 4 cyl. It has babbitted connecting rods and I was wondering if standard later model rods could be substituted?

“1960 FC-150 for sale. This is an original, fully functional FC-150 that was restored in the early 1990’s. The drivetrain was rebuilt, and it was painted in original colors. There is now enough patina to make it cool and it’s in a perfectly useable condition. I’ve driven it 150+ miles in a day and it does great. It will cruise along at 50mph.”

I can’t tell if this is a CJ-5/6 or flattie.

It’s an early ’47 based on the body tag and serial number (matching).
“1942 cj 2a jeep willys up for trade or sale. Looking for best offer or nice sport quads. Needs a battery, and maybe little wiring done to it to get it to run. A little restore was done on it 10+ years ago, Sat out in the weather for a few years. I picked it up from a buddy’s dad. Minimal surface rust but no bad spots at all. Motor turns over but has no spark. Needs a good home. Bill of sale only. Needs to be taken to WSP for a vin inspection to get title. I did most of the home work on that issue and it’s pretty simple.”
