Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Warn/Saturn overdrive unit that mates to the Dana Model 18 transfer case. This overdrive has a 10 spline input and a 26 tooth main drive gear that works on the model 18 case with a 1 1/8” intermediate shaft. Includes new shifter with linkage and a new gasket install kit. Unit turns freely and is not burnt up, but needs some new bearings.
Also have a 6 spline input available for an extra $120″
Both need some rebuilding, but parts included. No pics provided.

Disassembled for inspection.
New intermediate shaft with bearings.
New complete seal and gasket kit for it.

Excellent condition. It was in my Jeep and I pulled it off to change the transfercase and noticed the needle bearings in the planatery were showing some wear so I put another overdrive I had back in the Jeep. I have the new bearings for the overdrive.
I have the complete shifter setup for a T90 as well. Could be modified to fit other transmissions if you dont have a T90.
This complete package was a spare for my Jeep, but I sold my jeep a year ago and just clearing out the extra parts I had for it.

UPDATE: Was $450.
According to an article from JP Magazine, the WAT was sold by Warn in 1969 and intended to slip between a T-18 and a transfer case. The writer of the article only remembered ever seeing one of them.
“The war in overdrive unit shift good and bolts between the T case and the transmission. I am asking 450 but open to offers. Was going to use in a Dodge pickup to get rid of the automatic but my plans have changed.”
I found this ad in the May, 1969, issue of Popular Mechanics.
