Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Charles forwarded some more pics of the Belgian Army. In the first pic, the seat on the grass suggests it may have been used as a lawn chair.

This is an interesting design.
“You are bidding on an original press photo from 2013 featuring The quarter ton Ford XM151 “Jeep” developed for the Army Ordinance by Ford Motor Co, undergoes tests at Aberdeen roving Grounds in 1954. A new four speed forward transmission and overhead valve engine provide increased performance. . Photo is 16.5 x 12.5 in size.”
