Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Joe-in-Mesa has this unusual Bellhousing and adapter combination. He’d like to find a good home for it, as he has no plans for installing a 260 Ford into his flat fenders.
“This bell housing is from a 1962 Ford Falcon 260 (V8) motor with 4 speed trans! I also have the clutch/bearing arm for the bell housing. That’s the same engine used just 2 years later in the Mustang and even early Cobras J. The bell housing is marked C2OA-6394 FoMoCo 62-1 (Jan ’62?) and Sheffield.”
