About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“My personal M38 is for sale because I am downsizing my collection. This is a great example of the M38. Included with the sale is the trailer pictured on the back. This jeep runs, drives, and looks great! Great little weekend cruiser that will get lots of looks.”
“This 1945 Army Jeep with Willys trailer was meticulously restored by my uncle Erv.
From what I remember, he did a ground up restoration in the 1990’s and paid attention to detail. I do know he added and electric fuel pump a few years ago.
Erv was a mechanic in the army in the late 1950’s and always love military vehicles, this jeep was his pride and joy. I don’t think he ever missed a Memorial Day & Fourth of July day parade with it.
(10/11/2017) This has a great vintage license plate.
“This is a project jeep, but it runs and drives so you can have fun with it while you work on it.
Needs rust repair, paint, transmission rebuilt, and everything else would enjoy attention. That said, it starts right up and drives fun. Has the original running gear (L134 flathead “go-devil” engine). Although generator has been swapped to an alternator. (12v system).
4wd works nice.
Comes with rare aluminum arctic top, with aluminum doors and accompanying windshield.”
Needs work, but looks pretty stock. Given those steps have survived it might not have been beat up too much.
“All original good body, no damage. Original 4 Cyl. engine. Includes original trailer. In barn for 20 yrs, but had it running a few years ago. I would restore it myself, but I am 85 yrs old.”
May need a transfercase rebuild and a new clutch, but I still think this may be a good price.
1952 Canadian military M38 “jeep” built buy Ford of Canada.
A direct copy of the Willy’s American built M38 with a few custom features for the Canadian Government.
The biggest difference was the addition of a Warren front winch and data plates with Imperial units.
Correct British radio set.
This is an older armature restoration.
The Good:
Runs great! Has a Jasper rebuilt engine, Starts right up and is quiet and smooth.
Brakes are in excellent shape. New master cyl and 90% plus brake shoes.
Excellent top and interior, Good Canadian made tires.
Drives and shifts well.
Comes with the correct Canadian built trailer.
The bad:
Clutch slips under a heavy load.
Has a noisy bearing in the transfer case.
Use it as a parade or trailer queen or fix and hit the road!
$8500 No Trades! If its listed its for sale!”
(01/01/2017) The jeep is stored in Wisconsin. Seller has a variety of other vehicles for sale (maybe an estate sale of some kind?).

“1952 M38A1 Jeep and M100 trailer package for sale. Jeep runs and drives. 12 volt conversion started. Jeep does have rust in normal spots on floorboard. Floor pans can easily be purchased online. Jeep also comes with tow bar. M100 trailer is in the best condition I’ve seen one. I Can break apart package. Jeep $3000 or Tralier $1800. Come and

Tie downs might not be necessary, but I’d advise them!
“WWII Jeep manufactured by Ford Motor Company. Delivery date 10-26-1943. I am the third owner of this jeep. Completely restored. Includes a non-functioning M1919A4 machine gun and mount. I have owned the jeep for around 15 years. Previous owner was a WWII vet, a member of the 101st Airborne 506th and jumped on D-Day. The jeep also comes with a custom trailer especially built to haul this jeep. No tie downs necessary. Fits like a glove. Also for sale with the jeep is a completely restored Bantam T3 trailer delivered 10-2-1942. All three are kept in a climate controlled garage. Asking price for everything is $50,000 OBO.”
Bill shared this funky old trailer. Might be perfect for someone.
“Vintage 1955 “Aristocrat” utility trailer. Similar to the Willys Jeep “Bantam” trailers. Bed is in very good condition and it has a nice working tailgate. Has good tires and a Nevada title as well.”
