About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This beautiful Willys Jeep M38 Tribute was fully restored in early 2015 and has seen less than 100 miles of ashalt since completion! It features many attributes of the M38 Military Jeep and the stencils are commemorative of the builder’s uncle’s military service. Every portion of this Willy was restored, but if you think you are going to drive this vehicle daily or up and down the highway, you need to keep in mind that it ahs a top speed of 60 MPH. Bantam Trailer was manufactured in 1941. Has a pintle hitch and pintle hook receiver included
Trailer has 10.50×15 Truxus tires w/about 100 mi on them. Tailgate is welded closed with diamond plate. New wheel bearings. This is a HEAVY duty trailer
Would consider selling Jeep or trailer separate. Jeep alone price is $7,000. Trailer alone price is $1,600.”
“This is a ¼ ton utility trailer made in 1947 by the Converto Manufacturing Company. They were sold at the Willys Jeep dealerships and resembled the Bantam military trailers of WW2, but unlike them, this trailer was built with a tailgate. Would also look good with any vintage car or truck. The lights are from the early 50s, but do the job and work with new wires and a flat four connector. The hitch was badly installed and from the 80s, so I installed an NOS, unused old stock hitch that is period correct. I replaced two wheel bearings and repacked them all. The tires are new 8 ply bias. This trailer is permanently registered under a California PTI, and I have a paper title. This trailer is road ready. The bed rusted, but there are no holes and no flake, a previous owner must have blasted it before he painted it. I took photos with it wet to show better contrast. Located in Hathaway Pines, 95233.
Too much?
Look for this trailer on a well known auction site, before Monday evening

“1945 Willys MB Jeep and matching 1945 Bantam trailer. It runs and starts great and I have driven it over 40 miles at a time with no issues. I have a clean title for the jeep but not for the trailer.
The jeep has a newer overhead 4 cyl (3 speed) and hood has been modified to fit over it. I have another original flat hood that hasn’t been cut if you want to make it stock (with a couple changes to the engine). The rest of the tub is in great shape and it has newer brakes, lines, pads, springs, ect. It also has 2 combat style rims installed but I have 4 additional ones (very hard to find) if you want to paint and install on the jeep and trailer. Continue reading →
