This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Korean War-era M38A1 Jeep and M100 Trailer for sale. Set has been stored under cover since 1980 with only operation to keep it maintained. Runs smoothly and starts well. New valve gasket installed. No rust. Oregon registration. Recent radiator rodding. Recent complete lube, fluid, belts, brakes, headlights, headlight wiring harness, trailer wiring harness. New military trailer electrical cable, new headlights on jeep, new military canvas top, excellent trailer canvas cover and center bar. New backseat and cushions. All gauges work. Comes with new, in-the-box military turn signal set for M-series military vehicles (not installed) and conversion yellow light covers as well as conversion red lens for rear lights. Comes with new military door safety straps and fittings (not installed).”

(02/27/2014) Three different kind of rim/tire combo on the driver’s side.

It has the original plate, but has been switched to a ball hitch.
“The trailer is a 1942 Willys MBT military trailer, it has the original data plate showing a delivery date of 11-42. It is one of the earliest Willys trailers that has a cast center section connecting the axle. It has had a tailgate cut into it some time in its past. It has 14″ wheels with like new tires. It also has a ball hitch on the front. I put chains and lights on it. It is black plate PTI licensed, completely legal, and tows quite well. I have done a number of Home Depot runs with it.
I started to treat the rust on it and put rust killer primer on the inside of the bed. The outside has had clear rust treatment sprayed on, and it has allot of character with the patina it has. I have thought about spraying it original OD green, but have not been able to bring myself to cover up the aged look.
I got it so I could haul stuff behind my jeep. But the jeep is for sale, so this is going too. If you are looking for a parade ready ww2 trailer, this is not it. It is a ww2 trailer, but does not have all the original parts on it. It is a very cool, functional trailer that looks and works great behind a jeep.
I do have a pink in hand for it, so it is simple to register with DMV.”

Restored and then stored in 1991.
“1953 m38a1 jeep w\trailer this is a nice jeep that is original and was redone in 1991 and has set in a ware house in florida since that time it is 24 volt with new batteries I do not know if the trailer matches the jeep or not but it is in good shape and could use paint”

Both the trailer and jeep look in good shape.

1954 m38a1 and a “matching” 1949 bantam civilian trailer… both with clear titles for sale or trade. Both recently restored and ready for duty.
