(06/23/2013) Pamela is helping her father sell his 1944 MB, Converto Trailer, and Parts. While the jeep has been rebuilt in the past, it hasn’t been started in some time. Email Pamela for more information: prwbrim1622@hotmail.com
Is the trailer half bantam and half m-100?
“Willys CJ2A very restorable, nearly all original, driven every day. Has pintle hookup for trailer as well as original ball hitch mount w/ ball. Trailer is 1942 Bantam 1/4 ton T-3, M 100. Would like to sell as set, but will seperate.”
UPDATE: Was listed at $750. Sold.
Here’s an early trailer (based on the serial number).
“1942 Willys. Has several coats of paint and some rust, mostly complete. Floor has many small holes, otherwise appears solid. A tailgate has been cut, but it was “tastefully” done. Original data plate as far as I can tell. Plate and registered. See photos.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400.
This might be a good project.
“Very early civilian version of the venerable WWII Jeep trailer. Bantam lost the contract to make the Jeep, but they won the contract to make these trailers as a conciliation. This was made shortly after the war as a perfect trailer to use with the newly invented CJ Jeep.
This trailer is in very original shape. There are some bruises and rust. The rust is mostly contained to the floor. I tried to take pictures that represent the condition the best I can. If you would like more pics, just ask. I think that with a little bit of sweat equity, this would be a great little trailer. ”
How about that cj-2a trailer? Looks like a good price for the combo.
