The seller notes a serial number of 122349 and a year of 1946.  However, Neither the VIN nor the year corresponds to a M-38.

“This is a M38 Willys Jeep that has been TOTALLY restored from the ground up. Just about everything on this Jeep is brand new. New tires, body, seals, canvas, shackles, seats, rubber seals, hoses, brake lines, brakes, wheel cylinders, exhaust, bumpers, etc. The Jeep is practicaly brand new as if it just came off the assembly line in Toledo. Original parts were sandblasted to insure it would look like brand new. The Jeep as you can see has been used in many parades and has been on display in Jeep dealerships in OH, WV, PA, KY, IN, MI and more. The Jeep comes with the M100 trailer that has also been fully restored. Reason I am selling it is we have three more of these in our yard to restore plus we haven’t had much of a demand for the Jeep for parades and such this past year and instead of putting it in storage for the winter I decided to sell it. The seller provides a great deal of info, including links to the restoration of both the Bantam trailer and the Willys CJ-2A at the CJ-2A Forum.

“I am selling my 1948 CJ2A.  It starts and runs every time.  It is my daily driver.  Has all original running gear (Go devil engine and T90 Trans)

The winning bidder will also receive for FREE the matching 1945? Bantam trailer.  Fully restored to match the jeep.  New top, rims, electrical, tires, tongue box, hitch.

Pros:
Currently registered and insured

All this was done within the last year and a half
Original Carburetor rebuilt
New body (Inner and outer windshield, tailgate, hood, fenders)
Has Willys stamp on all body parts
The whole body was replaced with a new one and coated with POR 15 to make it rust resistant!
The frame was sanded and coated with POR 15.
New Reproduction Wiring Harness

New Glass Bowl Fuel pump

Engine was rebuilt about three years ago
Brakes were completely redone by the previous owner and stop really well.
Refurbished Hard top with fully functioning doors with roll up windows.

Cons:
Not much to list here
The paint is relatively new (last 5 months) but it does have a few surface scratches
The transmission does pop out of second every so often when you let off the gas suddenly
The trans has a small leak (about a dime size puddle after driving)
I do have a rebuilt transmission that comes with the jeep, just haven’t had time to put it in, and never had any problems with it.
E-brake works but doesn’t hold as tight as I would like”

“I have two projects that need to be gone asap.. One is a 1966 cj6 4×4 in pretty rough shape. no motor. have a lot of spare parts. started resto but lost interest and have no $$$$. The other is a 7×12 tandom axle flat bed trailer. also needs a little tlc but is a great trailer. air up a tire and pull it home. has break on axle but not hooked up. Like i said these are both projects but are well worth the time”
