Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1964 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep for sale. Body off frame restoration, new top, new military tires, and new seat covers. Comes as a package deal with 1/4 ton trailer: two new tires, new canvas trailer cover and total restoration. This vehicle is in great shape… you have to see it to believe it!!”

Cons:
Not much to list here
The paint is relatively new (last 5 months) but it does have a few surface scratches
The transmission does pop out of second every so often when you let off the gas suddenly
The trans has a small leak (about a dime size puddle after driving)
I do have a rebuilt transmission that comes with the jeep, just haven’t had time to put it in, and never had any problems with it.
E-brake works but doesn’t hold as tight as I would like”

“I have two projects that need to be gone asap.. One is a 1966 cj6 4×4 in pretty rough shape. no motor. have a lot of spare parts. started resto but lost interest and have no $$$$. The other is a 7×12 tandom axle flat bed trailer. also needs a little tlc but is a great trailer. air up a tire and pull it home. has break on axle but not hooked up. Like i said these are both projects but are well worth the time”

“For sale is a combo, restored 1956 Willys CJ-5 jeep and 1966 Bantam civilian 1/4 ton jeep trailer. They were both restored and painted to match just a few years ago, then stored in a building. The jeep has a metal half cab, heater, new upholstry, Ramsey 8,000 lb winch that has never had the cable spooled out, Warn over-drive, original 4 cylinder overhead that runs great, new front hubs, roll bar, small driving lights inside the grill, rack on the back for extra spare tire and handy-man jack and 5 gallon gas can (included). The trailer is a 1966 Bantam 1/4 ton civilain trailer (more rare than the military version), wood racks, spare tire, detachable tool box, and wired to match the jeep. PLUS, this also comes with a full set of mud and snow tires for BOTH the jeep and trailer, already mounted on a full set of spare wheels. I will not split the set up, this is a package deal. Compare the price of this set to a new “Rhino” at close to $11,000, and it makes this jeep and trailer look well worth the price. I have more money invested than the asking price of this jeep and trailer, with the restoration, extra tires and wheels… Clear Oregon titles. These pictures were taken about a week ago. “For-Sale 1946 Willys CJ2a Jeep W/Trailer. This Jeep was my father’s retirement project. It’s all original, transmission shifts good, runs good. Everything works. Has a white vinyl top, also has the rear bench seat. The only issue is the brakes, it has a nice high brake pedal but doesn’t stop very good. The trailer is painted to match the jeep. The trailer has a hand brake which works good also. The tires on the Jeep are good. I even have the original 600-16 tires for it”

“m416 has been modified with an early cj5 tailgate, has the original 7.00×16 ndtcc tires plus 31×10.5 bfg mud’s, olive canvas cover, hand built bow and storage shelf, 12v trailer wiring with early cj tail lights. it was sand blasted and primered when i got it. looking to get back what i have in to it. $1300 call 978 835 5291, local pick up please. but will help if you set up other.”

There were a couple mods to this, but otherwise looks good.
“1944 WILLY’S ARMY JEEP and TRAILER $7000.00 OBO
13 miles on speedo. Restored 20 years ago, very good body. NO RUST in rear tool boxes. Has machine gun mount, flat round spot on floor. 2 front seats with original seat belts, fold down back seat, blackout lights.
Shovel, axe, 5 combat rims, 2 on trailer. Matching trailer with original pintle hitch, support leg and brakes. Has rust hole in trailer floor and someone added a Willys tailgate, bottom of gate is rusted.
Jeep ran fine 10 years, now engine will not turn over. Has been parked under carport.
Owned by same family and brought to America with Scandinavian title, now has Florida title.
