About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This looks like its all there, has a neat dump bed, so pretty useful rig.
Information from seller:
1961 Willy’s Jeep 6 cylinder flat head with 42,000 miles. Has dump bed and snow plow. Has been sitting a few years. Missing the radiator and battery. $3800 trades welcome

1949 Willys Overland $500 Swedesboro, NJ
This is an awesome Truck, it has a lot going for it, don’t let the condition and price fool you, its got some serious potential for anyone doing a period correct restoration.
Short List I can see>
Seats! These look like legit early seats from here, they have very specific hinges and frames if real.
Wheels! Again look legit.
Axles, it usually takes a few sets of these old Timken axles to find parts, but you might get lucky.
Hub Parts.
Bed and Fenders are there, could use some parts and pieces off them
Spare Tire! Another Wheel and Spare Tire carrier.
VR is still there, those use very specific hardware with these cone washers sometimes the smalls are very valuable to a restoration or preservation project.
Bumper Bolts, looks to have a few of those special bolts.
The bumpers and splash pan look rough, but for a body and fender person nice project.
Front Early Fenders, don’t look horrible.
Windshield Wiper Parts.
Doubt that door runner part is original.
Some other treasures probably await the new owner of this rig!
Seller’s Description
For Sale $500 obo 1949 Willys Jeep Overland Currently a lawn ornament. No motor or transmission. As is.
I’m selling a 1950s Willy’s Jeep pickup for a friend (body on frame only. No guts at all.). Asking $500, but you take it away. The rust is manageable to the right person wanting a project. Pictures upon request.
This listing is for a very nice 1953 Willys stake bed truck. It has undergone a cosmetic restoration, but the underneath is also in very good condition. It has the F134 engine with the T90 three speed transmission and the Spicer 18 transfer case. The seat has been reupholstered, and the inside has been painted. There was some rust in the floors and the bed pockets, but that has all been replaced with new panels. The lights all work and all the gauges work except the fuel gauge. It starts, runs, and drives as it should. Thanks for your interest.
This looks pretty nice and has some really good looking stuff on here.
Great start for someone’s project.
Seller’s Description
Selling a complete 1961 Willy’s pickup frame and drive train only. It comes with the super hurricane 6 cylinder engine. Some one before me rebuilt the engine I was told. The engine turns over and comes with a new electronic distributor. I do not know anything else about it. It has new tires on it but they are older but not weather checked.
The Flathead V8 has lots of room to breathe with the custom vents in the hood, extended range fuel tank on the passenger side, this could be a pretty neat vehicle for someone’s farm, small race track on demo derby night to pull back some racers……
Seller’s description
1948 Willy’s. What you see is what you get on this one. It’s pretty much all there but needs some work. It has a homemade boom in the bed that is pto driven. I have not tried to start it personally but it supposedly ran 10ish years ago. It has a clean/clear title.
Folks not familiar with the Stordor these were box trucks that were on Willys chassis. There was a fairly large market of box trucks like the Grumman, Metro of course the big 3 as well, the box was installed over a chassis.
Here is another from Andy, we are posting the Ad years here, but really I’m a little skeptical that these would be mid ’40s, my guess would be late ’40s, like 48, 49, 50….. but someone may know better then my guess here. My baisis is just I wonder if Willys had the vision to sell these so early on in the chassis only version right out of the gate. The answer could be yes it was all part of the overall design to support the market and they were happy to sell units.
This could very well be a Chevy not sure buyer beware, if you get there and need some Willys help with ID on the driveline post up a comment. Could also make a Cousin Eddie RV out of this one!
1945 Chevy Willys overland store door Goldfield, NV $3500
“This is a Willys store door chevy. OK don’t kill me. Put a 318 in it. Runs drives I got it with no motor or trans. Guy was making it a camper but inside is not done. Some superficial rust I found but it’s nothing to stress. Aluminum sidding was on it but it’s still a solid steal box. Bell grill an all it’s a beast but a very rare willys.. asking what I paid 3500 OBO”
“I bought this truck from a family that the owner that was restoring it passed away and they wanted it out of the garage. I thought I would buy it to sell on ebay. It is a 1956 Willys 4×4 with a clean clear Montana title. . It was taken apart for restoring like headlights . The parts are in the back including several parts the guy found to use like the rear window and some dash pull knob assembly. seat springs. All parts in back go with truck. Floors and some other rust repairs are needed in the total restoration. Great truck to bring back to life. Truck is in Missoula Mt and buyer is responsible for pickup.”
