About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This looks like a good foundation for an inexpensive custom restoration.
“Willy’s pickup with small block chevy engine and Turbo 350 transmission. Runs but no transfer case on transmission, setup as 2 wheel drive. Excellent tires! Has no thru rust – only surface.
Clear Title.”
This truck was headed towards a crusher until Carl saved it. He’s not sure what he’s going to do with it, but he felt there was too much value to have it crushed. Note the custom wheel creation.
“Here are the pictures of the 55 Willys as I found it in a scrape metal collectors yard, it has its original running Super Hurricane engine 4 wheel drive components, head lights, park lights and dash all in tack, 20″ wheels were welded to the original 16’s and it spent the last few years hauling fire wood in rural Newfoundland. It had been abandoned and was set to go to the crusher when I found it and hauled it home. Not sure at this point what I will do with it, it’s safe for now.”
(03/31/2010) It is good looking. It needs some odds and ends, though nothing to suggest the importance of these items.

“UNMOLESTED !!! All original 1955 Model # 6-226 4×4 SW 54168 Willys Station Wagon 4 Wheel Drive 32,492 original miles. Original 6 volt system. Garage kept most all these years. Recently licensed and on the road. I drive it around most every weekend
Well researched pedigree – Purchased new in 1955 by Frank C. Moore, Lt Governor of NY from 1951 to 1953 for use on his Great Camp in Indian Lake, NY. Kept at the great camp from ’55 to 1985 then transferred to a groundskeeper in 1985-ish. Then sold to another individual around 1987 or so. Then sold to a fellow in Canadice, NY. Then sold to me. I’ve had the truck since early 2007.
Runs very well. Body o.k. obviously a bit of rust but solid and stable. Brakes are good although they must be pumped. Frame as good or better than most you will find Roughly 3,000 miles on new non-direcitonal military style tires. Gauges work. New plastic gas tank.
There might be some value here. The engine looks good and it has posi in the rear.

Brian ran across the seller of this truck while in town. Brian reports that “The paint is not that good. The painter did not paint the engine compartment and so on/lots of mistakes in it. The stake bed is nice, but could use refinishing. Frame looks good.”
