Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. A friend of mine is looking for the following hard-to-find parts for his farm jeep. He’s a serious buyer, but not real good with the internet, so has asked if I would help him try to find them. He’s willing to pay for shipping (using Uship) from anywhere in the US.

In Nov of 2012 this GPW was on eBay. It also appears earlier here.. It was eventually sold to a dealer in the UK who in turn sold it to David Fairhead. David is wondering if anyone knows who the seller from Pennsylvania. He’s hoping to learn more information about its history. (BTW, he’s already successfully found some additional info at G503 — it was originally in Maryland).

“I am looking to rent a WW2 Ford Army Jeep. My father in law drove this jeep in the Korean war. His birthday is July 7th and I would like to surprise him with a jeep ride. If I can not find a Ford jeep I am sure a Willys Jeep would do the job also. Please contact me if you know of anyone that owns or has access to this kind of Jeep. I am not sure that he would be comfortable driving your vehicle. I am sure that he would appreciate a ride if you are not comfortable with others driving your jeep.
