Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 WIllys Woody Street Rod /RAT ROD
Has a 455 4bbl and factory Edelbrock highriser from a Trans AM with headers and cherry bombs, 400 th transmission. Engine starts and runs ok but it needs new wires and a tune up. Tank probably should be cleaned. Has a Firebird sub frame with the disc brakes and power steering etc. Has a moon roof from a Cadillac installed and it works and looks good Power windows(glass needs installed) tilt wheel new wiring and dolphin gauges installed, genie shifter and e brake. All new BFG Tires and NEW Corvette Ralleys. I have 5 miles on the wheels and tires. New brakes and rear wheel cyls. Comes with vintage air set up not installed including the compressor Extra parts come with it.
This is a one of a kind 46 Willys station wagon. The roof was chopped 4 ½ inches. The rear windows were filled in and then the wood was applied. This car is not finished the interior needs done and at this point not ready for the street. Does run and stops. Needs a tune up, and the wiring for the lighting needs to be finished all the wiring is new and here just not completed.
This car is not a show queen it was done in the 80’s and driven as a shop truck then. It is definitely a 20footer It was parked and I bought it in 98 and it has been in my garage ever since. It looks good the paint shines, has some rust spots.
Extra parts go with it. SURF BOARD INCLUDED
Needs TLC to get it back to decent driveable condition.
I don’t need to sell it just looking to move on so don’t waste my time with any low ball offers.Will have to be trailered.

“I have a 1959 Willys with 70000 plus miles. It has the original super hurricane flat six in it. the suspension on it is brand new along with the complete wiring harness, and new exhaust pipes from the manifold back.
It is 4X4 and has a PTO winch on the front. the transmission is a T-90 with a Dana 18 transfer case the front axle is Dana 25 and rear is Dana 44. It is a project it has rust i don’t have the time or the money any more since we are adding to our family. The willy’s is pretty complete I’m asking 1000 OBO cash money. “I have two Willys wagons that I need to let go. The green is a 1951, no motor,trans, body has some rust around the wheel wells. The gray one is a 1963 has the tornado 6, trans transfer case. It was dissasembled and all the parts are inside(running gear is inframe) Have titles for both.”

I didn’t know they made Willys postal right hand drive wagons! The Smithsonian’s Postal Museum Exhibit has some great images of early original vehicles used to deliver mail.
From the website, “In August 1953, the first postal jeeps rolled off the Willys Motors assembly line. The model, the first U.S. car in three decades to have right-hand drive, was soon being tested on postal routes around the country.
Carriers used these right-hand drive vehicles to save delivery time on their routes. They were able to more easily reach the mailbox without having to park and go around their cars, or reach over the passenger’s seat to deliver the mail.”
