Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “51 Willy’s Overland rat rod. It’s on a custom chassis. It’s got a 383 Stroker. Custom long tubes. Moroso 54930 1 inch carb spacer. Edelbrock CB4 intake. Edelbrock performer 600cfm 4 barrel carb with electric choke. Edelbrock Valve covers. MSD ignition. Power steering, power brakes, power wipers. Turbo 400 with trans cooler. Pretty much brand new Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires. 26x12xr15 in the front. 31x16xr15 in the rear. 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 posi. Fast Shafts custom drive shaft. Adjustable QA1 coil overs in the rear. 4 link. Disc conversion in the front. I have a set of “prowler” front fenders that were custom built for this that bolt to the front caliper brackets. Runs and drives good! There’s about 5k miles on the build. Clean and clear title in hand. $11,500”
UPDATE: This was sold out of NV in 2021. Now for sale (make offer) in Cali.

“Rust free Arizona willys. Frame off restoration. Runs drives stops brand new rebuilt fresh motor. New clutch new brakes new body mounts.new tank. New lines new bushings new restored radiator. Body is all steel in primer.. Have all pieces to put back together once it’s painted. Bumpers etc… Clean clear ohio title… Rare” 2 door. 2wheel drive model… New wireing new battery. New starter.. Frame n undercarriage clean n painted… Interior is cargo orig wood slat floor… Seats need redone.”

(12/29/2022) Runs and drives.
“1962 Willys Wagon. Purchased to complete ongoing restoration but life plans have changed. Runs and drives. Took on several local camping trips up nine mile and fish creek this summer with no issues. Needs to be dialed in but runs well.
Has rebuilt chevy 250 straight 6 with paperwork. New radiator. New brake lines and wheel cylinders. New wheels and tires. Stock transmission and transfer case with overdrive installed. New speedometer was installed with new motor with around 300 miles. Vacuum driven wipers converted to electric. 12-volt wiring. Body is very straight. original patina paint. Has some rust on driver’s side quarter panel on edge of fender well, could be repaired or new panels a readily available. No other rust issues including solid floor. New bucket seats installed. Windshield has center crack, also available to replace. I have a bunch of spare parts, including carb, original parts catalog and spare fuel tank and some glass. This was my dream retirement project but won’t have time to finish.”
This updated delivery sedan looks in good shape. The “smog check” image is just a wrap.

“1958 Willy’s 4X4 wagon from California, it has a rebuilt 226 FH Hurricane 6-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual transmission, new clutch and a Warn overdrive. It has a decent medium green paint job and a creamy white top. Most of the big-ticket items have been rebuilt or replaced including complete brakes, all welded exhaust with a Magna Flow muffler, recent alignment, new Toyo Open Country 235-85R-16 tires and rims on and on. It’s a decent running driver with a few things for you to finish up. I have a lot/most of the parts and pieces needed to finish it up and a lot of other parts as well. You’re looking at $12,000.00 CASH and make sure that you have a signed permission slip from your wife in hand before you pick up the phone.”
