Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “i have a 1953 willys wagon for sale. it has a 4 cyl that needs to be rebuilt. the body (1960) and frame are absolutely fantastic. the hood has suface rust. i have the bumpers, radiator, original steering column, and many other parts that go with this jeep. these jeeps look really nice after they’ve been restored. this is a restoration project well worth the money.”

The price is firm and very fair It has been stored in a nice warm garage most of its life and moved to my house recently Its owned by a well known , respected and loved Jeep expert and owner of the now closed Pioneer Jeep in Peabody Ma. it was his special family time vehicle and has spent alot of its time just sitting on display at his dealership being enjoyed by everyone . 6cyl 3 speed on the floor with overdrive and four wheel drive I love this vehicle and will hate to see it go”

“this is a very solid neat old jeep . it has been set up very nicely with a small block chevy everything done right . IT HAS A EARLY TO MID 60S 283 IN IT. the body is very straight with very little rust. the chrome grill strips are even in very good shape it is a 4×4 a sun roof has been profesionly put in {good or bad ???} even the original wood slats are in very good shape 2000 OBO OBO TRADE FOR HUNTING THINGS OR ???? ”

1951 Willys-Overland station wagon, 31,200 miles on the engine. Originally from Colorado used for every day driving. Has a Flathead 6, 3 speed with overdrive column shift. Very solid body, recently finished the headliner inside, there’s a small crack on the rear driver side window, and the speedometer gave out this August. This is non running, but loks in solid condition on the outside.
“Ive owned this Willys for 15 years. Its not been driven and in storage for the last 10 years. From South Dakota. Has some rust . but not like most of these you see. Not modified, Orig flat 6 motor. Complete, everythings there, Will need some work to get it back on the road due to long term storage, Motors not locked up, but brakes are from sitting. A reader of IMCDb suggested this was a vehicle called a ‘Willys Jeep Hi Railer’. This was a snapshot from the movie “It happened to Jane”
However, based on the Hy Railers at Dave’s Willys Country website, I’m less sure this is a Willys vehicle. Am I wrong?
