Tyndall Field in Florida is credited with creating the first “jeep range”, a place where jeeps carried objects for gunnery practice. Here are a few pics and articles about “jeep ranges”.

Great detail showing the car ferry and their local methods of getting across river. Photo Came from an estate where owner spent years in Colombia as a pilot. These are original photos! …as you can see, original owner had one blown up to bigger size… Big one measures about 7.5″ x 5.5″ while the smaller about 4″ x 2.75 inch. $2 DOMESTIC S/H… (or, Worldwide, International S/H $3.95).”

“1948 CJ2A; These originals are getting harder to find! Built with PRIDE by hands of the USA!!!! Complete restoration completed in 2015—original (frame, body, engine, heater, wheels, transmission, bumpers, steering wheel, shifter, etc).

The original color was gray with white wheels, similar to the color Canyon Glow which is an original WILLYS color. Some enhancements… tub dipped in lizard skin, 6 volt system to 12 volt, back seat added, “cigarette lighter” plug for phone charging, front LED turn signals (LED strips), Mastercraft tires LT225/75R16 M+S for a nicer ride. June 2020 compete engine inspection and tuneup. Replaced were head gasket (studs/nuts), thermostat housing, intake manifold, exhaust manifold (studs & nuts as well) and fluids (over $2000 spent).

Smaller hardware/parts were replaced as needed. I do have a box of some original parts replaced to include the original odometer. Tons of fun! We drive this WILLYS around the area with confidence.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.

(08/18/2020) This is a nice looking DJ-3A, though it does have a few restoration inaccuracies. It’s listed as a 1965, but the serial number indicates it is an April 1964 DJ-3A.
