This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: That’s to Mark we’ve learned that at least one of these ads ran in the October 1950 issue of Capper’s Farmer magazine.
I don’t remember running across this ad. Note the lack of ‘Jeep’ promotion, part of Willys shift to the promote the Willys branding across the models.

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A, $700 of 5 new tires and tubes, new wheel cyls. and master cyl. All brake lines flushed and bled. Has a 1960 Chevy 153 cu in. 90Hp engine rebuilt with new clutch by previous owner, runs great. Factory insulated Sears full cab, two heaters one on each side of cab. Solid frame, little rust on body, hitch, original Willys floor mats. 12V conversion, electric wipers. Nice.”

This has an early set of Husky Hubs. This has no frame horns, but no sign any have been removed. This may also have the bottom mounted transmission cross member (hard to tell for sure). This could be a very late CJ-2A.

“Partially restored 1958 Willys CJ3B tub.
Most of the rigorous work has already been done. There is still some metal work left, but 95% rust free at this point, and that’s before blasting! A ton of work has gone into this project so far and picking it up from this point should go smoothly in the right hands. It’s in great shape, no major issues that can’t be repaired easily.
