Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This article appeared in the July 1952 issue of Popular Science (pgs 79-82). This is article is interesting in that is covers some of the complaints GIs had about earlier jeeps and how the M-38A1 attempts to address those issues.

Has some rust issues, but could be worth a look.
“Looking for a great little trailer to pull behind your JEEP? This is a real 1947 Bantam TC3 that was made just for that. It is in pretty good shape for being over 70 years old. Has some rust spots in the tub. Still has floor but has diamond plate steel over the top of it. 2” hitch. Tows great, tires are good and lights work. Trailer has Texas title in my name.”

“I have a 1957 and a 1942 cj2a willys Jeep for sale. Both were running when parked. The 42 has a bent frame that can be fixed or swap the whole thing to another frame. All the body is still solid and fairly straight. The 57 has been sitting up longer. The brakes are locked up and it’s in a little rougher shape. Both have been parked under a tree collecting leaves.”
