This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1941 Press Photo Lt Col JA Considine & soldier in jeep at Ft Oglethorpe, Ga. Photo measures 9 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 1-24-1941.”
This has some later model Free-Lock hubs and a rear aftermarket bumper.

“Awesome old Willys! Very original. Runs excellent, no smoke at all. Engine believed to have been rebuilt 17,000 miles ago. Has new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes. New fuel tank, lines, fuel pump, rebuilt carb. New 6 volt battery.
Body is in excellent shape. 1 small crack near spare tire mount (See photo). Floor pans rust free except support bars. (easy fix). Top is excellent. Right windshield is cracked.
Tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced.”

Listed as a 1944, this has a mix of mostly CJ and a few military parts. To me, it’s most likely a VEC CJ-2A.

“I bought this 1967 Cj5 a few years ago as a project for my son and I, it was not running at the time. We kind of lost interest but it now runs good, drives, and stops. Have driven it around the yard and shouldn’t take much more to be road worthy. Has Dauntless 225v6, D18 transfer case, T86 3 speed transmission, new tires, radiator, Pertronix ignition, alternator, fuel pump, fuel tank, seats, headers and mufflers. This is a steel body that has been worked. Has not been registered for many years but do have a title for it. Have a collection of many extra parts to go as well that came with it when I bought it, differentials, transfer cases, transmissions, axles, spare Dauntless, etc. I’m sure someone with more knowledge of old jeeps would know what the usage would be. This is a good project Jeep.”

These re only the side panels and doors. These could be handy if you have the remaining hardtop parts. This should fit a Sears/Allstate half-top.

Has a problem with 3rd gear, but still looks like it might be a good price. According to one Facebooker, it may already be sold.
