About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Another long day on Saturday (fortunately, we spent lots of it talking and very little of it driving), so no updates on Sunday. Rusty has a new home. After a short visit with Merlin Hansen to see his new place, we are heading home. We should make it to Champaign, IL, by Sunday evening, where we plan to take a photo with Roger Ebert.
This April 22, 2013 photo provided by Thompson-McClellan shows a bronze statue of Pulitzer Prize winning film critic Roger Ebert giving his famous ‘thumbs up” sign in Champaign, Ill. The statue will be unveiled Thursday, April 24, 2014, outside the Virginia Theatre in Champaign where Ebert held his annual film festival. Ebert died in April 2013. “Used 1950s military large parade field speakers with stands, amplifier, 33/45 turntable, microphones, original cables which need new wire, a field radio as from Mash with crank on side and jeep loud speaker.
Also have army footlocker with all cables and attachments inside.
Also have vacuum tubes 2 boxes of around 200 vacuum tubes, fuses etc. to maintain this system.
The speakers will work on most amps or stereos.”
“46 Cj2a, mechanically sound, last hurdle is body work, floor pan on right side is rusty. To many parts put in to list. Have gone to great pains to keep as original as possible. Just trying to make some space in my life for other interests. With price drop, price is firm. but may entertain a trade that would not take up as much space.”
“Rare 1957 Willys panel delivery. It’s 4 wheel drive. Has rear barn doors and the 6-226 super hurricane L head motor. The engine cranks but not getting any spark. The body is pretty solid.”
