This is an original press photo. Trucks – US – Fort Knox, Kentucky – The Armed Force hopes this picture will end the confusion between the “jeep” and “peep.” The tough little puddle-jumper on the right is affectionately known as the “peep” by men of the army’s Armored Force, while the large command car at the left is the original “jeep,” named after the Popeye comic strip characterPhoto measures 10 x 8.25inches. “1946 Willys CJ-2A Barn find.
I bought this for me but my disabilities wont let me take on a project like this anymore. Runs and drives. Needs a few things before you can take it out like brakes, and the steering box rebuilt. Great frame. Good gas tank. converted to 12V . No PTO though. Tires are like new and hold air. Serial # upon request.”

“1974 Jeep CJ5 plow Jeep. Runs/plows/stops. Pretty rough shape but plows like a beast.

Tires are dry rotted, but have very deep tread and hold air fine. Chains on rear.

New starter and recent points/cap/wires,etc.

New F + R driveshaft Ujoints.

Has block heater, but starts pretty good even with out it.

Body is rough, has wood floors but actually a very solid repair tied into frame and body.

Frame is OK

Good mechanicals, has only 16K miles. I was told that it had never been registered and was only used on a large property for many years. I have been plowing my driveway with it for 6 yrs, it has moved a lot of snow for me and will for you too!

Only reason I am selling this cool old plow Jeep is because I bought a K5 Blazer with plow in very decent shape that is roadworthy. I needed a spare rig I can use year round and tow my small boat within the Summer.”

“1949 Willys CJ3a. Low low serial number (499). Bought to restore. Body was rough. Took the body off and dismantled it. Bought all new panels to put it back together. Blasted and painted the frame and engine block. All new brakes and lines, new exhaust. New fuel tank and lines. New shocks. Replaced junk tranny and transfer case with a good donor. New clutch. New u joints on drive shafts. Included is a whole spare tub, extra cowl, extra fenders, seat frames and a ton of miscellaneous parts. Spent much more in new parts from Walck’s and Kaiser Willys than what I’m asking for the whole thing. The old girl deserves to be finished.
The engine fires and turns freely. The transmission and transfer case shifts as it should. Hate to see it go, but I’m not going to get to it. Pics are from when I bought it and the work in progress. In dry storage now. I can take credit and debit with my Square reader. I’m not a dealer.”

No mention of doors. The triple window setup in the rear makes me think this is a Koenig, but the construction of the rear of the top does not look like any Koenig I’ve documented. To me, the front curves in a way that looks like it was designed to fit snuggly atop a 3A or 3B windshield. Any thought on the model?
