About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Tom spotted this one. It runs and drives. Has a little rust.
“1963 Willy Jeep fc-170 4×4.. upgraded brakes, alternator, hoses, and tune up.. started and drove after sitting for 18 years.. 226 ci super hurricane straight 6 motor.. 3 speed on floor.. has rust but fixable.. too cool and original to part out.. has a manual winch in the bed that works and has a gin pole setup but no poles”
“1950 Willys M38 military jeep. These jeeps were used during the Korean war era. Near perfect condition. Original 134L engine. No bondo. All metal. Four wheel drive works”
It’s unclear if if either of these are running or not. The CJ-2A is priced at $4000 and the CJ-5 at $8750. The prices were calculated based on a vehicle appraiser. Looks like the appraiser doesn’t know jeeps and misled the owner on their value. You can see lots of photos at https://judysjeep.com
“1947 Willys Jeep for sale. Have the pink slip – not registered. Original owner. Has some surface rust. Had appraisal done by auto appraisal company. Jeep was used on a ranch and then stored in a barn. Currently stored inside a facility.”
“CJ5 Ratrod that needs completed. Needs brakes and wiring completed. Has Chevy 350 and Th350. Will need court issued vin and title. Can be done in Norman for $150.”
The Errislannan family of Western Ireland purchased a jeep from Metamet in September of 1959. You can read the story and see all the pics here (thanks to Barry Thomas from Farm Jeep).
This old newspaper photo captured the testing of an M-170 at the Aberdeen Testing Grounds. Theres’ a description on the back fo the photo, but it’s not easy to ready.
Photo Credit: http://Captainstevens.com W-LU GOC_4th Canadian Armoured Division (Canadian Army PA211629_jpeg) This appears to the the same jeep as in the colour photo above, just after it was customized for the General Officer Commanding 4 Canadian Armoured Division. They added roof, doors, flag staff and light and extension on rear of vehicle. It is carrying at least one wireless set.
It’s believed that this is the front of the above jeep. As you can see, a rounded topper has been added to the windshield. It appears to be a nice bit of work. The windshield has also been converted into a vertical windshield.

This looks like a nice wagon. The hub caps are actually for early wagons (probably these aftermarket ones), but they do look good on it.
“It has the original flathead hurricane 6 engine and 3-speed on-the-column. It was delivered on 3/5/1959 to the original owner in Tacoma. I bought it from a widow and started fixing it up almost 20 years ago. At that time, we did new paint inside and out; new upholstery; and refinished the woodwork. Then it basically has been stored in the garage since then. My wife said it has to go, so recently it got a new exhaust system, battery, carburetor, distributor, plugs, fuel filter. Bumpers re-chromed. Tuned up and brakes checked. The mechanic says it is running, shifting and braking well. Undercarriage in good shape. Odometer likely turned over 100K
Very straight body. Have the hood ornament and a few cosmetic parts/pieces for buyer. Also have the original Owner’s Manual and Service Records, along with the receipts for all the work I’ve had done on it. Must see to appreciate. Face-to-face transaction, cash only, no trades. Do not contact me unless you are a serious buyer with the cash.”
