Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It is a DJ3A 1959 1 of 1250 made. I had the engine completely rebuilt and the numbers still match the VIN also has new everything front to back bearings to breaks. A new rebuilt radiator new starter alternator carb basically everything that moves was replaced. New tires, wheels, shocks.”

This October 14, 1954, advertisement from the Heppner Gazette out of Heppner, Oregon, by the Farley Motor Company included a CJ-3B. You can see that the WILLYS ‘Jeep’ branding made a comeback not too long after Kaiser took over. KW also appears in the ad, along with Kaiser Willys Sale Division and Willys Motors.

Jarek wrote an article about these for the CJ-3B page; some painted ‘gold’ were given to employees. The hood opens and the windshield folds down.

Drivetrain complete, chassis has rust and 4 cylinder engine turns free two years ago. It is a valuable resource for parts when restoring another similar jeep.
