This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The writing on this photo indicates this jeep with a wood top was located in Europe. It was odd enough I thought I’d buy the photo, which was on eBay.

It’s a project. Engine has been removed and rebuilt.

“1947 Willy’s Jeep cj2a, in-line 4 cylinder with 3 speed manual trans. Runs well when the battery is charged. It needs some work on the electronics and wiring. Have replaced many parts on the engine so runs really well. Needs work on the brakes and it leaks a little oil just because it’s so old. Brand new carb, ignition coil,etc. comes with windshield even though some pictures don’t show it. Great jeep to restore. Will need to be trailered back”

“I have some Willy’s Military Jeep parts for sale. I’ve got an original M-38 body tub, hood and floor plates that are in really good condition for their age, also an original CJ2A radiator and gas tank as well but it sounds like there is a lot of rust inside the tank.
Jeep parts are up in Gerber Ca.

The motor is a Buick Dauntless 225 V6, runs strong, has a new alternator and fan belt on it.
New gas tank has been hooked up and splashed. Secondary gas tank under rear seat installed but not hooked up
