I spent Friday driving to Portland to pick up a Dale Model die cast jeep, so no time to do updates. More on the jeep Sunday morning. Enjoy your weekend!
1960? Family of 4-Wheel Drive Vehicles
UPDATE: There is a French version of this brochure as well.
I bought this brochure years ago. I’m glad I did, because I think I’ve only seen one other appear on eBay. The is high on my list of favorites. It’s a high quality print job on textured paper. The downside of the textured paper is that I had to manipulate the images to turn them into decent scans, but doing so made the yellows brighter than they ought to be.
Curiously, the brochure also includes the new ‘Hockey Stick’ style 2-Wheel Drive Wagon, along with solid windshields, but doesn’t mention that the design is new or anything about ‘Maverick’. But, it does indicate the FCs are “new”. Given the photo of the Paris factory on the back, and the nod to the Willys Export Company, this may have been a European focused brochure (the English version … there is a French version, too).

https://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/d/durango-1954-willys-jeep-m170-m38a1-cj-6/7019136135.html
“1954 Willys Jeep M170 which is the military vehicle that inspired the CJ-6/Scrambler/Unlimited. It is an M38A1 stretched at the factory 20″ with about a 101″ wheelbase. This particular one appears to be USMC used for mobile radio rather than ambulance, but it has some of the ambulance features like holes in the tailgate and flip passenger seat. The M170 is a pretty rare Jeep as they only made a little over 6000 of them.
It has a good running F-Head 134 Huricane, T-90 3 speed manual, Dana 18 transfer case, original driveshafts and stock axles front and rear with 5.38s. I need to look again, but I think the front is a Dana 25 and rear Dana 44. Transmission is currently not installed and the engine is not currently wired/plumbed, just bolted in place, but I have driven them and they worked fine for me.
Some signs of body work/dents around the drivers door, hood and cowl. The fenders are rough, but they would work if you cut them for tire clearance. Other than that, amazingly rust free for the age including all the various storage boxes this model has.
Comes with a tow bar.”
