This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed under varying years (1948, 1953, & 1954), this is looks to be an M-38 Chassis, which means it is none of those years (1950-1952).

Looks like the 3B hood was added to allow room for the F-head. I suppose that’s one way to tackle the problem.

Listed as a 1949, the grille suggests it is earlier than that.

At least the add doesn’t claim this jeep is “all original”. Nice to see a set of civilian top bows nicely stored in the CJ-2A bow holders. The body appears to have had the rear wheel wells replaced.
