About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1941 Willys jeep with five digit serial number. One of the first 10,000 made that year. Serial number denotes it was made for the Marine Corp. MC66582. It has been converted to 12 volt and was running since conversion. Motor turns freely and will not take much to get running.”
“Project, appears to be the original unmodified go devil motor, electrical system is still 6 volts. Needs a new clutch, transmission was removed but comes with Jeep. Registered in Vermont until April 2020.
Vermont does not issue titles for vehicles over 15 years old. You can either re-register in Vermont or I will give you a bill of sale to get a bonded Texas title. No trades! $1900.00”
“I have a 57 and 62 jeep engines are out blocks are bad still have them and all internals transmissions tcase and drive shafts are still in both have some rust but are both good for parts not wanting to seperate but will for the right price”

“Original salesman’s part color catalog , 8.5 x 11 , 12 pages , 3 file holes at edge , also includes non color sales sheet , 8.5 x 11 , 2 pages , shows various Willys features , descriptions , etc .”
“This Willys has a 4 cylinder 2.5 L Jeep motor with a 5 speed manual transmission. The drive-train, braking system, and transfer case are original. Runs great, not for freeway driving, 55 is top speed. Rancho suspension kit, 31 inch BFG Baja Champion tires. Also have some extras like gas can, high lift jack, co2 tank for tires. Just replaced the battery, fuel pump and filters.”
The seller of this jeep suggested to at least one potential buyer that for more pics and a description, the potential buyer could download a book from Shutterfly for $70. While this may or may not be a scam, I feel such a suggestion is inappropriate. Moreover, the seller refuses to be contacted by phone (text only), even though the seller contacted me by email.
“Restored to 90% specification using original parts and other high quality reproductions. THIS IS NOT THE 1945 WILLY’S MB! The 1941 model is exceedingly rare and differs from the 1945 Jeep in more than 30 ways.
Some of the notable differences that are found on this Willy’s are: rubber steering wheel, brass framed instruments, pumpkin air filter, distinct fuel tank and filler, seat upholstery, and gears; heavy drive shaft, rectangular gearbox cover, glass fuel filter, single-piece rims, and more that are detailed in a book included with the purchase.
The vehicle is exceptionally unique and has a clean title. I accept only serious offers. TXT only, please.”
The price is listed at $25,000, but it sounds like the seller will take offers.
